Milo Ventimiglia is celebrating his 45th birthday!
He was born on July 8, 1977, in Anaheim, California, United States as the youngest child of Carol (née Wilson) and Peter Ventimiglia, a Vietnam War veteran. He has two sisters, Leslie and Laurel. His father is of Italian-Sicilian descent and his mother is of English and Scottish ancestry. He attended El Modena High School in Orange, California. During high school, Ventimiglia wrestled acted in drama productions and served as student government president, graduating in 1995. At eighteen, Ventimiglia studied at the American Conservatory Theater for their summer program, subsequently attending the University of California, Los Angeles as a theatre major.
Best known as America’s forever “Jack” (This Is Us), Ventimiglia made his acting debut almost thirty years ago with his first on-screen acting role in the mid-90s on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. With eighty acting credits to date, Ventimiglia’s acting resume includes starring roles in television series such as Gilmore Girls, Heroes, Mob City, and Chosen, and guest-starring roles in CSI, Boston Public, and Law and Order: SVU among countless others.
His first film role was in the sixth installment of the Rocky film franchise, Rocky Balboa in 2006, portraying Rocky Balboa’s son, "Rocky Balboa, Jr.” and he reprised the role in the eighth installment, Creed II. Additionally, on the big screen, Ventimiglia has appeared in Grown Ups 2, Killing Season, Grace of Monaco, and The Art of Racing in the Rain.
The multi-dimensional Ventimiglia also works behind the screen directing and producing. Among his directing projects is the mega-hit drama This Is Us. Ventimiglia’s current producing projects include Middle Earth, a biopic about J.R.R. Tolkien, and the events that inspired him to write The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and the television series, The Company You Keep (in development), which tells the story of con-man Charlie, undercover CIA officer Emma and a night of passion that ignites love between the pair, who are also on a collision course professionally.
