General Hospital stars are reacting to the news of the passing of their beloved co-star, Sonya Eddy who is best known for playing Epiphany Johnson on the ABC daytime drama. Eddy passed away on December 19 at the age of 55.
TMZ reported that Eddy's friend Tyler Ford revealed that she had a scheduled surgery on December 9 which wasn't an emergency. He says she was released from the hospital on the 11th, but started to feel ill again, and went back to the hospital on the 15th ... when doctors discovered she'd developed a serious infection. He noted that the infection was uncontainable, and doctors told him Monday morning she'd been placed on life support ... she died Monday night.
