Performer of the week
This week, The Bold and the Beautiful aired some really powerful material for showing the strength of a woman. Krista Allen as Taylor Hayes and Katherine Kelly Lang as Brooke Logan are our performers of the week. In a twist of events, the two characters chose their dignity and dumped Ridge Forrester. The scenes showcased strong women who had just about had enough of being so vulnerable to a man. As Taylor had her piece to say, Krista brought Taylor's disappointment in this man she's loved for so many years to the forefront. She portrayed Taylor's anguish and pain so poignantly. And as Brooke got her chance to share her choicest words for Ridge, Lang brought Brooke's usually vulnerable self to a new level. She gave Ridge words he probably never expected to hear. As their character joined forces to showcase woman's power, Lang and Allen brought the house down. It was quite the highlight scene of the week, of the month, and possibly even the year. Well done, ladies!
Days of Our Lives
This week in Salem, Ava was back for her revenge. She was determined to get blood and set a bomb at Susan's memorial service. Tripp returned and was shocked to see his mother. Gwen helped Xander out of a big jam when she hired Leo to pretend to be a clown so that Bonnie could believe in Xander's innocence. Meanwhile, Brady was naughty as he kissed Sister Mary Moira Banks believing she was actually Kristen DiMera in disguise. John and Marlena came up with a plan to oust Kristen. Nicole had very bad timing and a sense of deja-vu when she visited Sloan's apartment and found them both wrapped in towels enjoying each other's company.
Rory got hooked and flatlined as Trina wept for him. Spencer lost his temper and punched Dex. Nikolas shared heartbreaking news with Ava. He lied to her that he had an affair with Elizabeth and that she was pregnant with his child. Maxie confided in Sam. Elizabeth left Finn reeling when she told him that she was pregnant for Nikolas. Sonny offered some support to a very emotional Obrecht who just opened up to Nina about Britt's illness. Britt shared the details of her plans for a will with Brad.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Sheila officially went on the run as Deacon did her one last but very huge favor. Steffy and Finn put Lt. Baker on the case. They continued to worry about Sheila but eventually shift focus to Taylor once Ridge was back in town. Brooke and Taylor put aside their long history of rivalry for some women's power. Bill was once again determined to win Katie back.
The Young and the Restless
Phyllis lost her job after making a confession about placing the call to Jeremy Stark. Billy spent some quality holiday time with Chelsea. Chelsea sought forgiveness from all the people she wronged in the past. Lily opened up to Traci. Tucker made Ashley a very big offer. Sally bragged about her job. Noah confessed to Allie about his kiss with Audra.
Honorary Performer of the Week
It was a very heartbreaking scene watching Kathleen Gati's Dr. Liesl Obrecht open up about her daughter, Britt's fight with Huntington's disease. Gati delivered such a tearjerking performance we were left shedding tears as we felt her character's pain and worry. Thumbs up to Gati on this wonderful performance and for being named our honorary performer of the week.
