Passions stars react to the passing of Ben Masters (Julian Crane). Check it out here--->>
Ben Masters who is best known for playing Julian Crane on Passions passed away at the age of 75 on January 11th. His former Passions colleague shared touching tributes upon learning of his death, see below!
Kelli Olseen (Beth Wallace): What a sad day
Liza Huber (Gwen Hotchkiss): Heartbroken to learn that Ben passed away today. Ben played my father-in-law, Julian Crane, on Passions and was a true gem of a human. Ben had a heart of gold and a wicked sense of humor. We had a million laughs over the years. I have so many wonderful memories of Ben from our Passions days. From our first show in 1999 to our last in 2008, he was a force who will be greatly missed and never forgotten
Lindsay Hartley (Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerlad): It took me a minute to post about Ben. Is was the pain that prevented me from posting earlier. Ben Masters was an extraordinary human. So talented, so witty, such a pleasure to be around and such a gift to work alongside. My favorite memory is this: if any of you watched Passions, the character I played did a lot of questionable things and there were times I would be stressed or anxious playing her because of it. One day on set, I was in a scene with Ben and he picked up on my anxiousness and inquired. I told him my concern and looked at me so empathetically and with a gentle smile said, “ if it’s love, is it wrong?” And this huge relief washed over me. He understood and just had that power to make you feel better. He was so aware…As you can see from the picture, we went to hell and back…but I felt completely safe for the whole ride. So many love you Ben. You are in our hearts.
Donn Swaby (Chad Harris): I just found out about the passing of my dear colleague, my former Passions co-star, Ben Masters. Ben was a first-class professional actor, a ridiculously talented scene-stealer and just a really nice guy. I am honored and blessed to have known him. My prayers for his family.
Eric Martsolf (Ethan Winthrop): RIP Ben. This charming guy was nothing but purely kind to me when I joined my first soap as a youngster. Rest in Passion, you lovely man. I snapped this on the last tape day at Passions. He was all smiles, and I’ll remember him as such. Thank you for your kindness, and rest in peace, Ben.
Phideaux Xavier (Director): So sad. He was so much fun, and so inventive. We were a family and in many respects he was our Father figure - with the right amount of mischievous gleam in his eye! A top notch actor and a dream to work with!
Juliet Mills (Tabitha Lennox): Dear Ben, lived life to the full[est]...
Bruce Michael Hall (Reese Durkee): Great actor and a wonderful person. Rest In Peace.
