The Young and the Restless Recap for January 24, 2023: Devon Threatens to Go to Court

Today on The Young and the Restless, Phyllis makes a promise to Daniel, Billy and Chelsea discuss their future, and Devon and Lily struggle to find common ground.



Daniel tells Phyllis that she needs to let go of her unhealthy obsession with Diane so that she can focus on working with him. Abby visits Devon to drop off Dominic's vitamins. She notices that something is on his mind and asks him about it. She asks him about his business decision.

Chelsea is in her apartment. She texts Billy and asks him to come over because she has an idea. Tucker reminisces on the night he spent with Ashley and how she walked out on him after finding out the truth.

Tucker goes to Crimson Lights and sees Victoria who throws Ashley going to Paris in his face. Phyllis and Daniel continue to talk about business. Phyllis worries that something is wrong with Chancellor Winters and asks Daniel about it. Lily visits Devon to talk about business while Abby decides to stick around. Devon says he made up his mind and his decision is no.

Phyllis makes Daniel a promise. She notes that she fights for her children. She agrees with Daniel about putting her obsession with Diane aside. She suggests they have a backup plan just in case Chancellor Winters is not a go. While Victoria and Tucker are talking, Billy comes in and warns Tucker who leaves shortly after. Devon makes it abundantly clear to Lily that he wants his company back. Lily asks Devon how is he any different from Nate. He offers to pay Lily and Jill for whatever they might lose once they split the companies. Lily says that Jill will not do it and Devon suggests they go to court. 

Lily and Devon's business talk doesn't end well so Lily leaves. Victoria and Billy try to understand what Tucker is still doing in Genoa City. The two end up talking about Johnny and Chelsea. 

Billy pays Chelsea a visit. She makes her suggestion for them to create another podcast. Abby wonders if Devon is ready to go into a legal battle with his sister and Jill. She bring up the time he was ready to take Chance and her to court for Dominic. She asks him if he is prepared for what this battle will do to his relationship with his sister. Lily goes to Society and stumbles upon Phyllis and Daniel talking. Phyllis asks her a pertinent question. 

When Phyllis leaves, Lily tells Daniel about her meeting with Devon noting that things are about to get nasty. Chelsea shares with Billy want she wants to do the podcast. Phyllis calls Nate telling him that she wants to come pitch her son's idea to him. Tucker asks her about her call when she turns around and is startled to see him.

Devon hopes Lily will come to the realization that what he is doing is to honor their father. Lily apologizes to Daniel for keeping him in limbo while she figures things out. She gets a call from Jill. Phyllis advises Tucker not to eavesdrop on people's conversations. Tucker offers to help to bring Daniel's project to light.
