In today’s recap of General Hospital for February 24, 2023: Dante and Jordan lead an interrogation, Josslyn has mixed emotions, Laura and Sonny comfort Spencer, Scott seeks out Robert, and Esme is worried.

Esme is talking to her son and Heather comes in and scares her. She wakes up and realizes it was a dream as Laura asks if she is ok. Esme asks her to make sure Heather doesn’t take her baby. Sonny asks if Spencer if he is still going to sue for custody. Spencer says that since Nikolas has disappeared, he may not have to. Dex tells Joss he will quit if she wants to but she says it’s not her decision to make. Liz is thinking about her conversation with Scott when Cam comes in and asks if she is as freaked out about Esme as he is. Mac asks Ava why she wants to see Austin. They agree the world is better with Ryan dead. Mac wants to know why Austin was on Spoon Island. Scott tells Robert he is about to make his life easier. Heather tells Jordan she wants to confess.

Heather tells Jordan she doesn’t need an attorney. She says she wants to tell the truth but has one condition. Scott tells Robert his client has information on the Hook attacks, and they want to make a deal. Cam and Liz talk about Heather and Esme, and he wonders if Esme is faking her amnesia and if Joss knows what is going on. Dex tells Joss Sonny still considers her family and asks if she wants him to make sure Sonny goes to prison. Sonny asks Spencer if Nik is gone for good. Spencer wonders how Nik could walk away from the baby. Laura assures Esme that Heather can’t hurt her, and the baby is healthy. Esme thanks her for helping her but is worried the baby could be in danger from her. Heather says everyone attacked with a hook was her and list off who she attacked and where she attacked them. Jordan and Dante are surprised when she says she attacked Nik. Ava tells Mac about Ryan’s plan to break her and Nikolas up. Mac says that maybe her and Nik can fix things now.






Heather details more of her killings and Jordan asks her about the earring found on Rory. Ava tells Mac her and Nik are done for good and thanks him for killing Ryan. Scott tells Robert that his client has information on Esme. Robert tells him that if his client was an accomplice, they should turn themselves in. Liz asks if Cam has talked to Joss, and he tells he hasn’t and that what Joss did shows him she isn’t who he thought she was. Joss wants to know who Dex is working for, but he says he can’t tell her. She warns him that Sonny won’t just let him walk away. Laura tries to reassure Esme by telling her that Heather is locked up and Ryan is dead. She realizes she must be guilty of what she was accused of because of who her parents were. Laura asks her if she remembers.






Spencer says he just wants to protect the baby. Sonny asks if he wants Nik to come back. Esme tells Laura she doesn’t remember and asks where Nik is. Heather tells Jordan and Dante how Rory ended up with the earring. She tells them Ryan killed the guard and planned the escape. Joss tells Dex Sonny can never know he was working against him, or he will kill him. Dex says he has to keep working for Sonny or leave Port Charles.






Liz asks Cam if what Joss did is unforgivable, and he says yes. Liz tells him that people make mistakes all the time. He asks if she is still talking about Joss. Scott tells Robert his client got involved with a crime already in progress and wants to testify against the real criminal. He says he needs to hear the deal before he tells him more. Ava tells Spencer Esme and Ryan knew who they were to each other since before he met Esme and that Ryan sent her to get close to him at school. He doesn’t believe her, but she asks if it was his idea to come to Port Charles and stalk her or Esme’s. Jordan tells Mac to compare Esme’s check answers against what Heather told them. Laura tells Esme she doesn’t know where Nik is. Esme tells her about Nik trying to get her to sign her rights to the baby away. Esme tells Mac that Heather and Ryan forced her to escape and that Ryan killed a guard. Esme doesn’t know whose idea is was but thinks they were planning it together. Heather tells Dante and Jordan she didn’t know Ryan was faking until Esme got to Spring Ridge. Jordan tells her that Ryan is dead. Spencer tells Ava that Esme encouraged him to get revenge on her for pushing him out of his father’s life. Ava tells him Ryan played them all.






Heather says Ryan was a cold-blooded murderer and she was just a mother trying to protect her daughter. Heather threatens to recant her confession if they don’t fulfill her request. Sonny congratulates Laura on her new grandchild. They discuss Ryan and Heather. Dex and Joss discuss his options. They decide he will stick to the plan of taking down Sonny so they can be together free of Sonny. Spencer thinks he drove his father away, but Ava says it was Ryan’s fault. Esme says the baby’s name is Ace and wonders where it came from.






Jordan questions if Heather is telling them the truth but Dante believes her. Scotty brings his client in, and Robert is shocked it’s Liz. Joss makes Dex promise to be careful. Spencer says he is the reason Nik is gone. Laura promises Spencer they will find Nik. Heather is brought to see Esme
