Performer of the Week

Krista Allen has never turned in a bad performance as Dr. Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful but this week she raised the already high bar she had previously set. Taylor finally having to confront her attempted murder of Bill (Don Diamont) years before has been a long time coming but the payoff was more than worth the wait! Her pain was palpable as she tried to explain why she did what she did and walked through it step by step, reliving every moment leading up to that fateful act that is still causing repercussions for her family. Allen was agonizingly beautiful in her portrayal of Taylor as she tried to make sense of it all in her own head while struggling to convince herself that she isn’t evil like Shelia (Kimberlin Brown). Taylor refused to let herself off the hook and refused to let anyone else excuse her either. She owned every action and made us believe she was truly sorry for what she had done and all of that was due to Allen’s brilliant portrayal. All week Allen went from desperate to defiant, from broken to determined, seamlessly, showing us every emotion Taylor was experiencing without being over the top. One of the most amazing things about this performance is that Allen wasn’t the actress in the role when the shooting took place, so she had no previous scenes to pull that emotion from. Krista has repeatedly shown us that she is the perfect person to be playing Dr. Taylor Hayes and this week she reinforced it even more. Congrats on being named Performer of the Week, Krista! You more than earned it!

Days of Our Lives

This week in Salem, Gabi tricked Li, pretending that she wanted to reunite with him, and managed to contact Rolf, summoned him back to Salem, and got him to deprogram Stefan. But it turned out that Stefan didn't just love Gabi but he also love Chloe. Sarah served Xander with divorce papers which he signed. Jack gave Gwen an ultimatum and she chose Xander. Gwen and Xander turned up the heat. Jack also gave Chad some advice on love. Chad and Stephanie connected and made love. Alex's attempt to get Stephanie to forgive didn't happen as he stumbled on Chad and Stephanie kissing. Allie and Alex's connection caused more trouble for her relationship with Chanel. Kayla was reunited with "Adrienne" and Kate with "Jordan". 

General Hospital

Willow gave birth to her and Michael's daughter. She flatlined and saw Harmony in the afterlife. She came back and was reunited with Michael. Spencer got a great tool to use against his father from Ava. Trina gave him some sound advice. Liz confronted Nikolas after Carolyn filled her in on his plans. Liz finally told Finn the truth about her pregnancy lie. Heather concocted a new plan upon learning that Nikolas wanted Esme to sign a document. Stella learned from Jordan that Trina could be Curtis' daughter. Nina got an eyeful when she saw Carly and Drew being cozy in public. 

The Bold and the Beautiful

Taylor revealed to Katie that she was the one who shot Bill all those years ago. Deacon got a visit from Hope and Brooke who tried his pizza. Sheila promised Bill that she will be there for him. She went and paid Taylor a visit. She suggested that Taylor is like her giving Taylor much to think about. Thank God for Brooke who visited Taylor and put Taylor's troubled thoughts to rest reminding her that she is nothing like Sheila. Carter stopped Sheila from threatening Katie who laid down the law for Sheila when it came to her son. 

The Young and the Restless

Victoria planted a kiss on Nate. Tucker approached Daniel. Phyllis left town to go see Heather. Diane and Jack got romantic and declared to hell with the naysayers after their talk individual with Kyle. Nikki confronted Diane about her suspicions. Chance returned a briefcase of money to Jack. Adam exposed Kyle and VIctor's alliance. Sally worried about becoming a mom and finally told Nick that Adam could also be the father of the baby. The Newmans plot against Victor. Lily had a talk with Abby who became an advocate for her. Devon issued some harsh words to his sister when he visited her at the office. Billy and Chelsea had a dinner date. 

Honorary Mention

Congrats to our honorary performer of the week who is none other than Parry Shen (Brad Cooper, General Hospital). Shen was nothing short of phenomenal as he delivered an emotional performance at Britt's memorial and the touching scene in her office.
