Y&R Recap for February 21, 2023: Sally Envisions Telling Adam the Truth

In today's recap of The Young and the Restless for February 21, 2023: Sally examines her relationships with Nick and Adam.

At Crimson Lights, Sally is scared of opening the paternity test results but Nick encourages her to do so. Sharon gets a call from Faith telling her how she spent Valentine's Day. Sharon tells Faith that Mariah and Tessa are gearing up to become moms as Delphine could give birth to the baby at any minute. She glances inside the coffee house and sees Nick and Sally talking. Sally shares with Nick how nervous she is as Nick promises to be there for her no matter what happens. She says she wants to go back to her place to open the results because she doesn't trust her reaction should she be in public.

Sharon comes to the table and informs Nick that Mariah and Tessa are gearing up to be moms any minute as Delphine is going into labor. She gets a message from Faith and steps off. Sally prepares to go back to her suite where she will open the results. She notes that Mariah and Tessa have a circle of support while she doesn't have that type of circle. Nick asks about her family and she tells him that she hasn't told them about the pregnancy yet.

In her suite, (Sally envisioning) she logs into her account seated beside Nick and it says that there is a 0% possibility that Nick is the father. She says there is no more stalling, she has to tell Adam now. At Society, Adam's phone is ringing as Victor walks in and says he needs to talk to him. Adam takes the call and it's Sally saying that she needs to see him, it's important. She asks him to come to her room at the Grand Phoenix. 

Adam arrives. He assumes that Sally's news is to tell him that she and Nick are engaged. She tells him that she's pregnant and he automatically assumes that the baby is Nick but Sally reveals that the baby is his. Sally says she needs some air. She invites Adam to go with her. They head to the park where they talk. Adam takes a big step and asks Sally to marry him.

Sally goes to Society. Victor is seated watching as his son pleads with Sally. Sally storms out and says she cannot do this and walks out to see Sharon seated with Nick. Sally walks over. She seems flustered so Sharon goes to get her some water. Adam comes by and is concerned. Nick tells him that not because the baby is his does it mean that things are going to change. Adam points out to Sally that Victor hates her. Adam tells her that if she wants to be with Nick she can but she will not take his child. Nick slaps Adam and Sally is brought back to reality. 

Nick encourages Sally to relax. She once again envisions another situation. This time she daydreams of Nick being the father. After telling him the exciting news, Nick wants them to go out to celebrate. They go to Society where they see Adam and Victor talking. They agree to go in and break the news to them. Sally announces that she is pregnant with Nick's child. Adam is upset and leaves. Victor asks Nick how is he so sure it's his child. Nick begs his father to respect Sally or else he will never know his grandchild. They go over to Crimson Lights to celebrate and fill Sharon in on the pregnancy and paternity. Sally steps away to call her sister and grandmother as Sharon asks Nick how he really feels about this baby. 

Sally comes back to reality again and tells Nick how much finding out the truth about the baby's paternity can affect things. She says she wants to be excited and eager like Mariah and Tessa but all she feels is worry. She asks Nick if he would prefer a boy or a girl and he tells her that it doesn't matter. Sally then logs into her account to find out who is the daddy.
