On today’s Days of Our Lives (recap) for March 16, 2023: Roman extends an olive branch to Lucas, Marlena and Kayla worry when they realize Kate is missing, John visits Paul in San Francisco, while Steve seeks help from Andrew and there's a surprise guest at Megan's hideaway...
Megan comes into the lab and looks at Marlena, Kayla, and Kate in their tubes and tells them it's time to wake up because they have so much to do.
Kate wakes up in another lab and Megan tells her that phase two is about to begin. Kate demands answers about Marlena and Kalya. Megan assures her that they're fine and tells her that they have something important to discuss but Kate demands she gets them back to their husbands. Megan tells her that she can't do that because she needs them for her plan to work. She explains that their husbands think they're dead because she stole the orchid. Megan tells her how she saved them using the orchid and how it also saved her and someone dear to her. Megan tells Kate that she's going to use her to test a new serum to make sure it's safe. She admits that she is not fully recovered herself and the serum is supposed to heal her completely. She says it could also kill her which is why she wants to try it on Kate first. Right before Megan injects her, Kate gets loose from her ties and knocks her out! She escapes the room and gets the shock of her life when she sees Bo in the hallway!
When Marlena and Kayla wake up they discover that Kate's gone. Kayla wonders if Kate escaped but Marlena doesn't think she would have left them. Marlena wonders if Kate it part of Megan's plan. She finds Bo's empty cryogenic chamber and wonders who was in it. They try to figure out who Megan was keeping in the other tube based on the things she said. Kayla thinks it may have been Stefano but realizes it can't be him because of the chip that was destroyed.
Paul's workout is disturbed by a knock at the door. He is pleasantly surprised to find his father on the other side. Paul is concerned about John and tries to get him to open up but John tells him he's there about a case. He tells Paul that they want Andrew's help and asks if he's said anything about Megan. Paul tells him that they're not talking at all. John asks what happened and Paul explains that the long-distance logistics of their relationship couldn't work. John tells him to make it work with Andrew. He gets a call from Steve who tells him he has a possible location on Megan. Paul offers to go with John to help them. John explains that he and Steve need to do it on their own and apologizes for pushing him about Andrew. John wishes him luck on his game and leaves. Later that evening, Paul is looking at a picture of Andrew and remembering their kiss when there's a knock. He opens the door and sees Andrew.
Andrew is at his desk at ISA headquarters when he gets a visit from Steve. Steve tells him that he needs his help to find Megan Hathaway. Andrew tells Steve that finding Megan is one of the ISA's top priorities. Steve tells him he needs answers but Andrew tells him that he can't because they don't have clearance. He tells him that the agency is concerned that he and John have been compromised. He says the higher-ups at the ISA fear they may still be brainwashed.
Andrews tells them that he doesn't believe it but his hands are tied. Steve is angry that the agency thinks they would help the woman who killed their wives and that Andrew is going along with it. He goes to leave but Andrew stops him and tells him that he pulled up the file on Megan on his computer. He tells him he is going to get a coffee for him and leaves so Steve can look at the file himself.
Roman visits Lucas in jail to tell him that it was Megan who stole the orchid. He wants to know if Lucas knows anything about it. Lucas doesn't know anything about Megan, he didn't even know she existed. Roman doesn't think Kate was the target, that Marlean and Kayla were. Roman tells Lucas that they need to find Megan to make her pay for what she did. Lucas is concerned about Roman and Roman tells him that he has to face the facts about never seeing Kate again. Lucas tells him that he knows it's not the same but he feels that way about Sami. He thanks Roman for coming to see him and Roman says he does it to honor Kate's memory. Roman leaves to check in with Steve and John, promising to keep Lucas posted before he goes. Back at the pub, Roman talks to Kate's urn.
Marlena thinks Megan has Kate and thinks they need to get out as fast as they can. Kalya finds something to pick the lock on the door with and gets to work trying. Just as she gets the door unlocked someone starts to open it from the other side!
Steve and John explore the address Steve found in Megan's file. They vow to not stop until they find Megan. They find a locked door and get to work picking the lock. When they get it unlocked they hear a noise on the other side. They open the door, guns drawn!
