In today's recap of Days of Our Lives for March 21, 2023, Li tries to keep Stefan from Gabi. Chanel and Paulina score a victory over Sloan. Jada is confused by Talia's career change. EJ and Nicole manipulate Stefan.
Rafe pays Stefan a visit. He has some documents in regard to him dropping the charges against Eric and Brady. Stefan wonders why Rafe had to bring the documents in person and Rafe confirms that he is also there to talk to him about his sister, Gabi. Rafe is hopeful that Stefan hasn't given up on getting Gabi away from Li. Rafe advises Stefan to be careful where Li is concerned and Stefan admits he is ready to blow Li out of the water.
Talia and Jada have muffins at the Brady Pub. Talia questions Jada about her love life. Jada admits that she had a breakup recently. Talia then asks if there is someone new on the horizon and Rafe walks in. He asks Talia how she is enjoying her time in Salem. Talia reveals that she will be working as a baker at Sweet Bits. Jada wonders why her sister would switch career fields from a doctor to a baker. Talia and Jada argue about her decision. Talia leaves so she won't be late for her new job. Rafe offers Jada a ride to the station. She gets a call from Shawn and decides to drive herself.
Paulina meets with Chanel at the Bakery. Paulina apologizes for putting her foot down about the help wanted sign. Chanel informs her mother that she already hired someone. Chanel wants to keep Talia employed before someone else snaps her up. Paulina advises Chanel to think strategically. Paulina gets a call from Belle. Paulina is stunned. She gets off the phone and celebrates with Chanel as she announces that Belle got the case thrown out. Paulina thanks Belle for all her hard work. Talia comes along, and Chanel introduces her to Paulina who is stunned to learn that she's Jada's sister. Sloan approaches and confronts the ladies. She tells them that maybe she doesn't need court to get her revenge and walks off.
EJ and Nicole wake up in bed. He tells her about his talk with Stefan and lets her know that he has teamed up with Li shin. EJ fills Nicole in on his plan and what Li is up to. Nicole notes that EJ is playing a dangerous game and wonders what will happen if Stefan found out.
Li makes a call on behalf of Gabi pitching for her fashion line. She walks in and tries to sneak up to eavesdrop but he turns around and sees her. Li asks her how much did she hear. He wants her to have an outlet for her great creativity. He apologizes for being too pushy and offers to cancel the meeting. Gabi doesn't want him to cancel. He agrees and goes to make breakfast. Li gets dressed. Gabi leaves to get dressed as well and tells Li what she wants for breakfast. Gabi's phone rings and Li answers it. It's Stefan who asks, "What the hell are you doing answering Gabi's phone?" Li tells Stefan that Gabi is getting dressed for a very important meeting. Stefan reminds him that the clock is ticking and the six months will soon be over. Li in return, tells him to stay away from his wife. Gabi comes out dressed for her meeting and realizes that Stefan called and Li answered. They leave for the meeting together.
Stefan throws his phone. EJ and Nicole walk in as EJ queries what's going on. He informs them that the problem is Li. They talk about Gabi's new potential job. EJ reminds Stefan that Gabi could lose her DiMera shares if she breaks the contract she has with Li. Nicole comes up with a plan and offers to arrange for Gabi and Stefan to meet privately. Stefan is grateful and sure Gabi would be too. In the absence of Stefan, Nicole and EJ are overjoyed and can't wait for their plan to work.
Sloan and Eric make out in bed. He gets an alert on his phone and informs her that it's not a text but an alert to let him know if there are any jobs for a photographer. Sloan wants Eric to be his own boss, she suggests that he opens up his own gallery. Eric wonders where he would put the gallery. Sloan says she has the perfect place and it's called Sweet Bits. Eric wants to know how is that possible as Sloan advises that she has the plan to take away the business from Chanel. Sloan gets a call. She is angry to learn that the case was thrown out. Sloan is very disappointed because the lawsuit was her last shot for her mom.
