In today's recap of Days of Our Lives for March 23, 2023: Megan demands results from Rolf, Bo struggles to find his true self, Harris decides to undergo risky treatment to help Hope, and Abe gives Chad advice about moving on.
Bo thinks about Kate talking about who he once was and searches Megan's lab looking for answers. He finds a file with his name on it and as he reads the contents he starts to remember who he was and who he was connected to, especially his father Victor, and true love, Hope.
Bo remembers conversations with Victor talking about having him as a son. As he reads what Rolf wrote in the file about his bond with Hope he remembers arguments, good times, and important milestones in their relationship.
The file says that Rolf planned to exploit the dark side of Bo that he got from his Kiriakis side. The voices of his father, Hope, and Kate combined with his memories swirl around his head as he starts to remember who he is.
Rolf tells Megan that he's ready to test his new serum on a human test subject. She is upset about Bo breaking from her control and blames Rolf for it happening. Rolf explains that he can only mold people's minds, thoughts, and desires but they will still be who they always were at their core. Megan tells Rolf that Harris was completely under her control but he reminds her that Harris refused to shoot Hope. Megan is frustrated by men's devotion to Hope and demands to know how Rolf can be sure that Bo won't fall for her again. Rolf tells her that if Bo remembered his love for Hope there would be nothing to keep him there.
Megan doesn't understand why Bo doesn't appreciate everything she has done for him and vows that she's not going to lose him. Megan wants Rolf to ensure that Bo is devoted to only her so they can use the new serum to turn back time and go back to when Bo was in love with her. Rolf tells her that if she wants him to do a tune-up on Bo's brain then he has to be either cooperative or coerced. Megan tells him that she has a plan and takes a vial and syringe with her as she leaves the room.
Harris is frustrated that he can't remember anything yet but Hope encourages him to be patient. Harris tells Hope that he wants to bring Megan to justice for both their sakes. A psychiatrist comes in and tells them that Kimberley called her in to consult. She tells them that psychotherapy may not be enough to retrieve Harris's memories and suggest electro-shock therapy. Hope is reluctant but Harris wants to move forward immediately despite the risks.
They start the treatments and Harris starts to remember being in the lab with Megan and Rolf. He tells Hope about the nautical chart on the wall f the lab and that he saw a tube with someone inside. She asks who it was but he tells her that it was filled with fog and he couldn't see their face. He tells them that Rolf used shock treatment to brainwash him and he writes down coordinates that he remembers seeing. They hope it can lead them to Megan. After calling Steve, Hope tells Harris that she has to go. He tells her that he understands right before he collapses.
Abe and Chad discuss Chad's relationship with Stephanie and his concerns about the effect it will have on his kids if it doesn't work out. Abe counsels him that he can't control everything and to just concentrate on what's happening now and not the what-ifs. They talk about Chad and Stephanie working for Paulina and Abe thanks him for their help.
Steve comes in and tells them he wants to update Roman about the search for Megan. Abe asks for the update and Steve fills them in. Abe is concerned that Harris may be tricking them but Steve assures him that Kimberly says he is sincere. Chad tells him that he hopes they find Megan and bring her to justice. Steve gives his blessing about Chad's relationship with Stephanie again and tells him that he is happy for them.
After Chad leaves Abe voices his concerns to Steve that he is too obsessed with finding Megan. Steve tells him that his drive to bring Megan to justice is the only thing getting him out of bed every morning. Abe promises that his friends are there for him. He asks Steve what he intends to do with Megan when he finds her. He tells Abe that it's best he not know right before Hope calls him with the information on a possible location for Megan. Steve promises that he and John are on the way.
Paulina blames Sloane for the break-in and wants to confront her but Stephanie talks her down and convinces her to let her go about it another way. Chad shows up and Stephanie fills him in on what happened. She tells him that she has a plan to handle it if Paulina will go along with it.
Shawn looks around Paulina's office and asks them questions to try to find out what happened. He wants a forensics team to come in and look for prints and other evidence. Paulina tells him that there's no need because she knows who did it, Sloane Peterson.
Megan comes into the lab and looks at Bo. Bo stares at her but doesn't know she has a full syringe behind her back!
