In today's recap of Days of Our Lives for March 28, 2023, Nicole and EJ set up Stefan and Gabi. Paulina pressures Rafe and Jada to arrest Sloan. Talia admits to Chanel she wasn't completely truthful with her. Sloan helps Eric explore a new career opportunity.
At the station, Rafe brings Jada some real estate listings for Talia. Jada tells him that he didn't have to go out of his way for her sister and he notes that he did it for her. Paulina comes by asking them why aren't they getting Sloan Petersen off the streets. Paulina says she is at the end of her rope. Paulina offers to tell them enough to have that "lunatic" in a jail cell. Paulina tells them about the ordeal with Sloan in the Horton Town Square. She advises them to step up because she is scared for Chanel's life. Jada and Rafe agree to bring in Ms. Petersen for questioning.
Chanel asks Talia about her first day as a baker. Chanel thinks she did well and is looking forward to seeing her back tomorrow. As they are about to go their separate ways, Talia asks Chanel why Sloan hates her so much. Chanel reveals that Sloan has hated her for a long time. She puts Talia on her guard, telling her that it's serious. Chanel and Talia have a seat in the Town Square as Chanel goes into full detail about Sloan's vendetta. Talia is happy she told her the truth and notes that she hasn't been completely honest either. Talia tells Chanel about her medical qualifications. She explains why she chose to become a baker rather than go into the medical field. Talia worries that she is fired because of lying on her application. Chanel agrees to keep Talia. Paulina comes by and tells them about what happened at her office. She advises Chanel to be on her guard where Sloan is concerned.
Sloan is just in time before Eric closes up the Brady Pub. He is happy she made it in time. She declares that she is not through with Paulina and Chanel. She says the lawsuit was also about getting Eric his gallery. She promises that she is not giving up on him. Sloan suggests that Eric asks his father for him to display his images at the Brady Pub but Eric is reluctant. He wants her to let go of her vendetta but she says she can't. They kiss. Sloan and Eric sit and check out spots that could be great locations for his gallery. Jada and Rafe come by the Pub noting that they want to bring her in for questioning.
EJ and Nicole make plans for Gabi and Stefan to get caught in the act. Stefan walks in and overhears them and asks, "Who is getting caught in the act?" EJ and Nicole reveal that they were discussing the likelihood that Li would catch Stefan and Gabi in the act, which is something they don't want to happen. Nicole got them a room at the Salem Inn under a false name and EJ encourages Stefan that they must be discreet. If Stefan changed his mind, they offer to go back to the Salem Inn and cancel. Stefan questions how Gabi and he can be discreet at the Salem Inn given how well-known it is. Nicole reveals that she has things in place and they could also use a back entrance. Stefan is not worried about Li but he doesn't want Gabi to lose her shares when the contract she signed is only for another 5 months. After considerable persuasion, Stefan accepts Nicole's proposal. EJ tells Stefan that he can trust Nicole. Stefan wants to text Gabi, but EJ advises against it because it might be bad if Li sees it. EJ hands Stefan a burner phone to use to contact Gabi anytime he wants.
Gabi returns home to Li who wants to celebrate how she handled the Saxton people. He pours her a drink as he notes that she is on her way to starting her second fashion empire. Gabi wonders what is he really up to. Li says he is just happy and proud of her. Gabi is grateful to Li. There's a knock at the door and it's Nicole who assumes that it could be a bad time. Li questions the reason for her visit. She says she is there to talk to Gabi. She invites Gabi for a drink to talk. She heard about her Saxton meeting and want to talk about her coming over to Basic Black instead. Gabi is reluctant at first but decides to hear Nicole out after getting an anonymous text saying "Listen to Nicole". Li doesn't like it but Gabi still goes. Nicole takes her to the Inn where she will meet Stefan. Stefan arrives and Nicole leaves. Gabi and Stefan kiss.
EJ visits Li and tells him that there is no offer from Basic Black for Gabi. He informs him that Stefan and Gabi are meeting behind his back.
