In today's recap of Days of Our Lives for March 30, 2023: Chloe braces herself when she learns Brady has read Leo’s latest column, Rachel shows up at Statesville to confront Kristen, Leo encourages Gwen to use Alex to make Xander jealous, and Wendy and Tripp share a fraught moment.
Chloe sees Brady reading Leo's latest column and panics. He's confused by her apology about what he read since there's nothing about him or them in the column. Chloe's surprised but covers by telling him that Leo asked about their breakup and said he was going to write about it. Brady shrugs it off since Leo didn't put it in his column and tells her about getting Kristen to write the letter to Rachel. She isn't sure it will be enough but Brady is confident it will and makes plans for her to join him and Rachel after school.
Kristen is surprised when Rachel shows up at Statesville alone to see her. Rachel tells her she used Brady's phone to order an Uber for herself and that he doesn't know she's there. She wants to talk to her mother about the letter she wrote. Before Kristen can explain Brady shows up and is furious at Rachel. He accuses Kristen of putting her up to it and she defends herself. Brady wants to know what Rachel's doing there.
Kristen explains what happened and tells Rachel that she meant everything she said in the letter and that she wants Brady to be happy, even if it's with Chloe. The guard tells Kristen that it's time for her shift in the laundry and she hugs Rachel goodbye and makes her promise to never come alone again. After she's gone Brady talks to Rachel about how scared he was and tells her that after school they're going to hang out with Chloe. Rachel's resistant but Brady insists and makes her promise to give Chloe a chance. Rachel reluctantly promises but as they walk away she has her fingers crossed behind her back!
Leo and Gwen discuss the fight that Xander and Alex had. Leo thinks Gwen is using Alex to make Xander jealous and it's working. Gwen doesn't think Xander is jealous because he's still in love with Sarah but Leo disagrees. He's upset when he sees the changes to his column and leaves to confront Xander about it.
Tripp is listening to music and dancing in his underwear as he makes breakfast for himself. Wendy comes into the kitchen and checks him out for a moment before surprising him. He apologizes and tells her that he thought he was alone. They share an awkward close moment but are interrupted when Johnny knocks on the door. Tripp goes to get dressed and Wendy explains what happened to Johnny.
Johnny tells her that he was hoping they could spend the day together. She agrees and when Tripp comes out of his room she invites him to join them, much to Johnny's displeasure. Tripp declines, telling them that he's going for a run. He watches them get comfy and close on the couch for a moment before leaving. After he's gone, Johnny and Wendy watch a movie. Johnny pauses the movie to talk about a part they just saw and then he kisses her.
Tripp stops running for a water break and imagines kissing Wendy if they hadn't been interrupted that morning. He shakes it off and reminds himself she likes Johnny. When he gets home he interrupts Johnny and Wendy making out on the couch and goes to take a shower. Johnny wants to get back to making out but Wendy says no and tells him to put the movie back on.
Justin chastises Alex for what he said to Maggie and asks about his fight with Xander. He's less than thrilled when his son tells him that they were fighting because he's sleeping with Gwen and Xander doesn't like it. Alex makes it clear to his father that his relationship with Gwen is purely physical and that's how it'll stay. He doesn't ever want to fall in love again after Stephanie broke his heart. Justin thinks he'll change his mind on that someday but agrees to drop it for now. He suggests that Alex should make sure he and Gwen are on the same page about their relationship.
Maggie gives Xander lemon bars she made for him to thank him for the glowing article about her in The Spectator. They talk about his fight with Alex and Maggie is frustrated with all the men in her life being attracted to Gwen. She accuses Xander of being jealous of Gwen and Alex and wonders if he wants her back. Xander tells her that he's still in love with Sarah and Maggie replies that Sarah's happy and she's moved on. She wants Xander to move on as well and tells him that Gwen should be allowed to also.
Alex goes to Gwen's suite to talk about their relationship and make sure she understands what it is and isn't. She happily agrees to keep it at meaningless sex and invites him in to have some. After, they are cuddling in bed and talk about the situation between him and Maggie. Gwen apologizes for Xander hitting but Alex doesn't blame her for it. He tells her everything will be fine and that he just has to find a way to get on Maggie's good side.
Justin goes to see Maggie at Titan to talk about the situation between her and Alex. He tells her that Alex knows he messed up and he really wants things to work out. He asks Maggie to give Alex a chance to prove himself to her.
Chloe runs into Xander and asks what happened with Leo's column. He tells her that he pulled the part about her. She's pleasantly surprised and thanks him. He admits that part of the reason he did it was to stick it to Leo and remind him whose boss. She thanks him again and they hug. Leo sees them hugging and takes some pictures of the embrace!
