Carly tells him to wait somewhere else. As he leaves, he tells Liz that he hopes the situation with Esme doesn't come back to haunt her. Carly asks her what Victor was talking about. Victor calls Roz and asks her to find out exactly what Liz said to the PCPD. Liz tells Carly about helping Nik keep Esme locked in the tower at Wyndemere. Carly says she would have done the same thing and says that they have loyalty to their children and family in common and if Jason had asked for her help like Nik had asked for Liz’s she wouldn’t have hesitated. She goes on to add that Jason would have never taken off and left her holding the bag though. Carly says that Liz never learned the tough lesson like she had of be careful who you give your loyalty to because they may not return it. Liz says this experience has changed her perspective and made her see how her parents thought they were protecting her and helped with her anger towards them. Carly gives her the picture of her parents that she had stolen from Liz’s fireplace the day she was burning everything. The doctor tells Victor he found a pathogen in his blood and says he is bringing Finn on to consult. Carly tells Liz how she got the picture and Liz tells her it was a big violation but thanks her for doing it. Carly asks her to come to her if she is ever in trouble again. She knows they don’t always like each other but thinks they respect each other enough to help.
