On today’s General Hospital recap for March 15, 2023: Kristina opens up, Laura tries to keep the peace, Esme gets a surprise visit, Elizabeth and Portia catch up, and Spencer, Joss, and Trina are thrown.

Laura and Kevin get to Spring Ridge and Kevin asks her if she is sure about this. She tells him they can't abandon Nik's child. Spencer turns around and says that he couldn't agree more. Laura is not happy he's there because she promised Esme he wouldn't be but he says he's not leaving. Esme comes in with Ace and thanks Laura and Kevin for coming before seeing Spencer and asking why he's there. Laura and Kevin explain that they didn't bring him and he is leaving. He refuses to go and Laura pulls him aside and demands that he leaves so they can get Esme to trust them. Spencer reluctantly agrees but warns Esme that it's not over. 

Esme talks to Kevin and Laura about her issues with trusting them all and what happened with her parents. Laura tries to reassure her that Nik and Spencer love the baby and Esme asks if they really do or do they just want to control him. She asks Laura if she is working her to try and take Ace away. Laura and Kevin promise her that they aren't trying to play her and remind her that she and Ace are family. They hope she can come to count on them. She thanks them for helping her have Ace. Laura asks her if she is really sure the baby should be in prison and offers to keep Ace for her until she gets released. Esme thanks them but tells her that the baby is staying with her. She thanks them for coming and leaves to put the baby down for his nap. Laura tells Kevin that she knows Esme truly loves her son and he agrees with her. After they are gone, Esme comes back into the common room looking for Ace's binky and is surprised when Trina hands it to her!

Dex is getting dressed at Sonny's penthouse when he gets a call from Josslyn. She asks him about last night and he remembers the shooting. He tells her that he was working later. He hears a noise and tells her he has to go. Sonny comes in as Dex pulls his gun. Dex asks him if he got any more information on the hit and thanks him for letting him stay the night. Sonny asks him to try to co-exist with Spencer. Kristina comes in and asks Sonny how bad things are. Sonny tells her that everything is fine but she notices Dex is injured. He goes into the other room to give them privacy to talk. After he leaves Kristina tells Sonny she has a business proposition for him. She wants to open a restaurant and wants him to back her financially. He tells her he will back her and thinks she can succeed but questions why she wants to do it. They talk and he makes her see that she is feeling at loose ends because she sees her siblings moving forward and feels she isn't. He reassures her that it's not a competition and that all that matters is that she is happy with her life. She admits that she loves her life how it is now. Sonny tells her how proud he is and she thanks him before leaving. Dex comes out and Sonny tells him about Kristina and says how lucky he is to have her. Spencer comes home and glares when he sees Dex there. Sonny tells him that Dex is going to be staying with them for a while.

Trina hugs Joss and they go into Kelly's where they see Cam. He says he's happy they made it. They ask Cam why he wanted them to meet him. Cam asks where Spencer is and tells them he wants to wait until he gets there to share his news. They gossip about other friends while waiting for Spencer to show up and Cam flashes back to catching Dex with Joss. Spencer arrives and asks what he missed. He tells them he went to Spring Ridge to try to appeal to her about the baby.  They all agree that Esme will never do the right thing. Cam tells them he's going to miss their camaraderie and tells them he is leaving Port Charles. He explains to them about the scholarship to Stanford. Joss and Trina are happy for him but Spencer thinks there's more going on. 

He blames Esme for Cam wanting to leave. Trina and Joss don't agree with him about that and he leaves angrily. Trina leaves as well and Cam and Joss talk about the goodbyes being hard. He tells her that he's going to miss her and she says she will miss him too. Cam tells her that he knows they are done as a couple but wants them to be friends again. Joss is happy about it but then Cam warns her that she needs to stay away from Dex. Joss doesn't want to talk to him about Dex but he insists that he is just worried about her getting stuck in a life she hates. She remembers taking care of Dex after he was shot. 

Liz sees Portia at GH and tells her that it may be her last day there. Portia says not if she has anything to say about it. Portia thanks Liz for her wedding toast and Liz tells her that if she wants to talk she is there to listen. Portia tells her about the secret she kept from Trina and Curtis. Liz sympathizes with Portia and tells her she understands. Portia worries that they will never forgive her but Liz assures her that they will. Liz confesses what she did to Portia and Portia understands why she did what she did and promises to support her with the review board. They run into Finn after he gets off the elevator and Portia leaves them alone to talk. Liz admits that she's nervous and Finn promises that he's there for her.

Chase and Finn wonder what's keeping Gregory just before he shows up. They tease him about coming in second to Alexis who is also at the restaurant with Sam. Alexis sees him and tells Sam she no longer wants breakfast. Sam asks her what changed. She tells Sam that Gregory lied to her and she doesn't want to see him. Chase and Finn quiz Gregory about Alexis and he tells them she needs to mind her own business. Alexis explains to Sam what happened with Gregory and Gregory does the same with his sons but they both evade the details. Sam admits to Alexis that she went over Gregory's head but says she was trying to help him and that there is more going on than he's saying. Gregory lies to his sons and tells them nothing is going on. He admits that he isn't teaching anymore but says he is just taking personal time. Sam encourages Alexis to try to talk to Alexis while Chase and Finn tell Gregory to do the same and take their leave. Alexis and Gregory talk and she tells him that cares about him and doesn't want their friendship to end. He feels the same and they agree to try again. Gregory almost collapses and spills his drink. Alexis helps him clean it up and asks him if he's been drinking.
