On today’s General Hospital recap for March 8, 2023: Curtis is stunned, Victor and Obrecht find common ground, Anna and Valentin get new information, Trina supports Spencer, and Esme makes an offer to Laura.




Liz is napping when Cameron comes home. Laura asks Esme if they can talk and Esme tells her no because she doesn't think she can trust any of them after what Liz told her. Trina sees Spencer at the hospital and they remember their kiss. Victor approaches Liesel at the Metrocourt. He tells her she can tell him off. Robert and Anna bring a blindfolded Eileen to the safe house and she is surprised to see Valentin alive. They want to know why she works for Victor. Portia asks Marshall if there is any hope for her and Curtis as Curtis arrives. Marshall leaves them alone to talk. Portia asks Curtis to not go. 





Spencer is touched by the gift Trina brought for the baby and tells her about Nik keeping Esme prisoner. Laura tells Esme she just found out what Nik did and that she is on the baby's side. Curtis asks Portia what they need to talk about. She asks him to come home but he tells her he isn't ready. She asks if he and Trina are going to have a DNA test. Anna, Valentin, and Robert question Eileen about what Victor has been doing. She tells them she didn't know Victor would kill anyone. Cameron asks Liz if she's ok. He is worried she is sleepwalking again but she assures him that she's not. He tells her that he is going to play soccer for Stanford. 



Liesel tells Victor she's not interested in his games. He says he is just offering her an outlet for her anger. He talks to her about losing Valentin. She tells him she ended things with Scott. Cameron says he got a scholarship and they want him for the spring quarter. Liz is very proud. Spencer tells Trina about Liz helping Nik hold Esme captive. He tells her Laura is talking to Esme and that Esme wants to keep the baby with her. Esme admits that Laura has been good to her. Laura promises that she will make sure she is treated fairly. She tells her she knows how she is feeling right now and tells her about when she was pregnant with Nik. Esme wants the baby to stay with her but Laura asks her if prison is the best place for him. Valentin asks Eileen what she has witnessed while working for Victor. Robert asks why Holly was working with Victor. Eileen admits that she is sleeping with Victor. Curtis tells Portia that Trina isn't ready to take the test. Portia asks how she is but Curtis tells her that his conversation with Trina is private. He tells her he has to go but he will think about coming home. She promises to do everything she can to fix things between them.



Liz asks Cameron if they can talk. She tells him about Nik keeping Esme locked in the tower. Victor wants to know why Scott and Liesel broke up. She refuses to tell him but tells him she is sorry he lost his son. Eileen says that Victor has been distant. Anna asks when things changed and Eileen tells him it was after the necklace was lost in the fire. Valentin asks why he wanted the necklace and she tells them Victor said it would lead him to someplace he is trying to find. Trina is surprised about Nik holding Esme prisoner. Spencer tells her that Esme was working with Ryan the whole time. Portia comes up to them as they are talking.



Cameron is upset with Liz for not coming forward sooner. She tries to explain it to him and tells him about her immunity deal. She asks if he can ever forgive her. Marshall's doctor tells him that he doesn't have the gene indicators for schizophrenia. Eileen tells them that Victor has been searching for the place for years and that the necklace was the key. Robert demands to know more. Anna has an idea for how she can get more information out of Victor. The officer guarding Esme tells her she is being transferred to Spring Ridge and that the baby is going with her. Portia asks if Trina is there to see her and Trina tells her that she is there to see Spencer. Trina tells Spencer to go talk to Laura after she leaves Esme's room.



Trina makes it clear to Portia that Tagger is her only father. Portia tries to talk to her about school but Trina tells her that they're not there yet.  Trina tells her that she misses her too. Curtis and Marshall are surprised by the test results. The doctor tells them he may still have schizophrenia but he does not have the genetic markers for it. Spencer asked if Laura was able to get Esme to change her mind about taking the baby to prison with her. Laura tells him that Esme is wary of them after Liz's confession and the best bet at making a deal with her is to not cut her out completely. Spencer refuses and says they have to take it to court. Laura tells him that Esme and the baby are going back to Spring Ridge that night. Liesel tells Victor about Scott lying to her. He tries to get her to keep him company for the evening and she storms away angrily after vowing he will never touch her again. Laura tells Spencer that if they alienate Esme it will be bad for them all and that there is nothing more they can do right now. The baby is brought in to Esme and Portia tells her to ask for help if she needs it. Esme thanks her for being so nice after everything she did to Trina. Esme talks to the baby and promises to protect him. 



Liz apologizes for letting Cameron down and asks him to come to her with any questions. He says he needs to think about it alone. He starts to go to his room but stops and tells her he loves her and that he is proud of her for confessing. Valentin and Anna talk about the Victor killing Luke for the Ice Princess and what led him to the necklace. They decide to try to find the place Victor is looking for. Eileen gives Victor a hotel room key and asks if he wants to make up. Marshall wonders if he was misdiagnosed and why it happened. Spencer tells Trina about Esme and the baby leaving. They see her as she is brought to the elevator with the baby. Esme tells Laura she can visit them at Spring Ridge. After they are moved onto the elevator Spencer says he is going to do everything he can to keep the baby away from Esme.
