GH Recap for March 29, 2023: Port Charles Says Goodbye To One Of Their Finest

On today’s General Hospital recap for March 29, 2023: Port Charles bids an emotional goodbye to Epiphany. 

Friends and colleagues prepare for Epiphany's memorial at GH and comfort each other. Bobbie is surprised to see Willow at the hospital when her procedure is only two days away. Willow tells her that she needed to honor Epiphany and says if it wasn't for her she never would have become a nurse. 

Felicia surprises Anna at the safe house with a visit from Emma. Liesel tells Nina she is cleared to donate her bone marrow. They discuss Epiphany's memorial and the adversarial relationship that Liesel had with Epiphany. Milo surprises Sonny on the roof at GH and asks if he can keep him company before they embrace. 

Curtis and Portia try to comfort Marshall about the loss of Epiphany as he remembers their relationship. He blames himself for her death. He says he pushed her to go into med school and if he hadn't done that then he wouldn't have been on the road or seen the accident. Portia tells him that he reignited her dream and she was happy and confident before she died and he gets the credit for that. She tells him that Epiphany wouldn't want him to blame himself. 

Brad comforts Felix in the GH locker room before he gets ready for the memorial and they talk about what she meant to them Brad tells him that no one's ever really gone as long as we keep them in our hearts. Robert and Laura discuss the history of the hospital and all it's seen. Robert remarks that "General Hospital's lost one of its best" and Laura agrees. Diane approaches them and they discuss the situation with Eileen. 

Milo and Sonny talk about Milo's relationship with Epiphany and Milo offers to stay in town and help him with business. Sonny thanks him but turns down the offer because he's glad that Milo was able to get out alive and wants to keep it that way.

Diane tells Liesel that Epiphany left a task for her to complete and hands her an envelope. Liesel smiles as she reads it but refuses to reveal its contents. Willow tells Carly and Bobbie that Epiphany was why she became a nurse and she has to be there to honor her. She asks them to help her do that and they both promise to do anything she needs.

Emma and Anna catch up and Emma tells her that she wanted to be there for Epiphany even though her parents weren't able to get away. Diane and Milo catch up and Nina tells Sonny she'd like to accompany him to the memorial. Milo introduces himself to Marshall and Marshall's surprised when Curtis tells him that Milo is Epipahny's ex-boyfriend. Robert is thrilled to see Emma when she happily greets him at the hospital.

Finn compliments Liz on the arrangements that she made for the service. She tells them that Epiphany named her in her will as the person she wanted to do it. They talk about her tremendous impact on the hospital and how much she will be missed. They're approached by a stranger who introduces herself and tells them that she's the person Epiphany was saving when she died. 

The visitor recounts the accident and Epiphany helping her and consoling her as they waited for the paramedics. When she tells them that Epiphany died from complications due to smoke inhalation, Liz tells her about Epiphany's heart condition. The woman wants to go before the memorial but Liz convinces her to stay and help them honor Epiphany. 

Liz, Deanna, Portia, Sonny, Emma, and Carly all eulogize Epiphany at her memorial service and remember the wonderful impact she had on them and everyone she came across. After the service is over Diane tells the assembled that Epiphany had a final request for all of them and asks them to accompany her to the roof. Liz hangs behind to have a private moment and gets a call from Monica. She reads Liz the letter that Epiphany wrote to the review board and tells her that Epiphany wanted her to be her successor as Head Nurse. Liz is touched when Monica informs her that she is recommending her for the position to the hospital board.

On the roof, Diane reads a message that Epiphany had left for her mourners while on the ground Liesel finishes the task that she requested and lights the fireworks she wanted. Epiphany's loved ones watch as she goes out with the beautiful, sparkly bang she had requested. Anna watches the fireworks from the safe house and Epiphany's plaque takes its place on the GH wall of honor.

The episode ends with a beautiful montage of clips of Epiphany set to a song her portrayer, Sonya Eddy, sang.
