Performer of the Week
Hope Logan has recently been on a rollercoaster on The Bold and the Beautiful…who are we kidding, she’s been on the rollercoaster since her conception, but most recently that rollercoaster has been named Thomas Forrester (Mathew Atkinson)…again, and he has been putting that girl through it! From trying to kiss her knowing she’s happily married, to using their son to hurt her mother, and then putting that same son in the position where he had to choose between them, Thomas has been outdoing himself in being a major pain in her behind and in her marriage to Liam (Scott Clifton)! The cherry on the top of the sundae was his sister Steffy (Jaqueline MacInnes Wood) recently making her decide between losing her beloved clothing line or allowing Thomas to be her lead designer again. To say she was torn is an understatement! Hope went back and forth and back again, weighing her limited options and knowing there would be monumental fallout no matter what she decided. Through it all, Hope’s portrayer Annika Noelle has been just phenomenal! She hit every note of Hope’s conflicted emotions with the choice she had to make, and then defend, to those who disagreed, namely her husband Liam. We all felt, and echoed, his exasperated sigh when she told him that she believed, again, that Thomas had changed and was better, but Noelle sold Hope’s belief in what she was saying so well that we couldn’t help but hope that her faith in Thomas isn’t misplaced again. That last part remains to be seen but one thing we are guaranteed to see is Annika playing this classic soap heroine to perfection! Her amazing performance is why she’s being named our Performer of the Week. Congratulations Annika!
Days of Our Lives
The adventure of Bo and Hope began this week. Marlena and Kayla tried to escape but ran into Dr. Rolf. Steve and John's search led them to Hope. Kate knocked Megan out and tried to flee but ran into Bo. Later, Megan ordered Bo to shoot Kate. Stefan and EJ slightly worked things out. Xander and Alex went to war over Gwen. Paul and Andrew were back in action. Tripp was angry at Johnny for what he did. Li made some inroads with Gabi. Belle and Sloan teamed up to save Brady and Eric from prison.
General Hospital
Cameron announced his decision to leave Port Charles. Gregory had some health problems that he refused to share with Alexis. Dex and Sonny were in danger as they came under gunfire. Brick was back in town to help Sonny. Liesl shared some good and bad news with Willow and Michael. Esme got a cryptic message from Heather. Esme was visited by Laura and Kevin who wanted to take Ace with them but Esme turned them down. Trina also visited her to make sure her amnesia was real. Trina then made a big decision to not press charges against her. Carly stepped in to defend Liz from Victor Cassadine. Sonny told Nina about his disastrous situation. Josslyn confronted Dex.
The Bold and the Beautiful
It was an eventful and interesting week in Los Angeles filled with the dramatic return of Ridge Forrester and so much more. Sheila worried that Bill was on to her as Bill went to a secret location to meet up with Ridge who was revealed to his partner in his operation to take down Sheila. Hope blindsided Liam with her decision but once she told him the truth they came to an agreement. Steffy was happy to welcome back her brother to Forrester Creations and Douglas prepared to return to the cabin.
The Young and the Restless
Victoria fantasized about Nate. Phyllis tried to play everyone for a fool as she and Jeremy Stark teamed up for revenge against Diane. Jack and Diane returned to Genoa City and announced their engagement to a stunned Kyle and Summer. Nate gaslighted Elena who was worried about his connection with Victoria. Lauren called out Phyllis on her deceptive act. Adam met with Victor about the takeover of Tucker's company. Victor spoke with Devon and Devon made a huge request. Sally's past came back to haunt her.
Honorary Mentions
The legendary Jon Lindstrom did it once again with a masterful performance as Kevin Collins. He brought us to tears in his emotional scene shared with John J. York as Mac Scorpio on General Hospital. The touching and emotional scene could not go unnoticed so we must recognize and honor Lindstrom as our honorary performer of the week. Bravo, Jon!
Then there was Scott Clifton as Liam Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful who was nothing short of outstanding. His emotional yet powerful scene with Annika Noelle's Hope as he learned about her decision to go against his wishes was another highlight of the week. Congrats Scott on getting an honorary mention from SON!
