Performer of the Week
At only 8 years old, Finley Rose Slater (Rachel Black, Days of Our Lives) is already showing us what a powerhouse actress she can be. She regularly holds her own with a talented and experienced adult cast and this week was no exception. Rachel’s been through a lot lately and she’s laying the blame at the wrong feet, Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin). Her dad, Brady (Eric Martsolf), is desperate to rekindle his romance with Chloe, but Rachel is determined to prevent that from happening and Finley portrayed Rachel’s pain masked by mouthy indignation and stubbornness perfectly. Her hugging her father while smirking over his shoulder at Chloe and blaming her for his recent arrest was so deliciously fun that you couldn’t help but imagine how much trouble she will be as a teen. Brady really shouldn’t be surprised though since her mother is Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and those apples tend to not fall too far from that family tree. Her refusal to allow Chloe to join them for lunch, complete with arms crossed in a huff and sitting on the ground in protest gave every parent who has been there a chuckle. Finley was a bratty delight as Rachel this week and that is why she is our Performer of the Week! Congratulations Finley!
