Sony Pictures Television in association with Propstore, one of the world’s leading Entertainment Memorabilia Auctioneers has today announced the launch of The Young and the Restless 50th Anniversary Online Auction with over 65 lots of memorabilia including cast-signed scripts, photos, props, costumes, and an opportunity to bid on a VIP Set Visit Experience for Two. The auction is open for bidding from today (24th March 2023) until the timed online-only auction begins to close from 9AM PDT on Friday 14th April 2023.
The Young and the Restless has been the number-one daytime drama for 35 years. It revolves around the rivalries, romances, hopes and fears of the residents of the fictional Midwestern metropolis, Genoa City. The lives and loves of a wide variety of characters mingle through the generations, dominated by the Newman, Abbott, Baldwin and Winters families. When The Young and the Restless premiered in 1973, it revolutionized the daytime drama and 50 seasons later continues to set the standard with strong characters, socially conscious storylines, romance and sensuality. For this anniversary, The Young and the Restless cast and crew along with Sony Pictures Television, assembled this auction as a way of giving back to the fans and to charity. A portion of the proceeds from over 65 original props, costumes, and set decoration items will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of The Young and the Restless’ co-creator, William J. Bell, to benefit care, support and research programs.
