On today’s General Hospital recap for April 11, 2023: Nina breaks bad news, Sonny springs into action, Diane takes on a new client, Laura shares her suspicions, and Trina is determined.
Carly and Drew break the news to Willow and Michael that Liesel is missing and that may mean a delay in the bone marrow transplant. Carly tells her that they don't think Liesel left on her own. Willow's concerned that Liesel's in danger and is worried about how Maxie and Nina are doing.
Carly and Drew promise her that everything is being done to find Liesel and they all want her to rest to make sure she's ready for the transplant when Liesel is found. Carly tells them that Sonny is helping to find her. She and Drew offer them any help they need before leaving. After they're gone, Michael tries to talk to Willow about how she's feeling but she asks him to get her some cocoa before breaking down once she's alone. Michael finds her sitting on the floor when he gets back and comforts her.
Nina tells Scotty about Liesel's disappearance and tells him that she thinks they're gonna have to find her on their own. She tells him that the police are not prioritizing it and Sonny updates them on Brick trying to track her devices. Scotty's sure that she was kidnapped and that Victor's behind it. Sonny promises Nina that he'll find out what happened.
After Sonny leaves Scott begrudgingly compliments him for saving Lucy and helping find Liesel. Nina assures him that it's not his fault and that they will find her. They talk about her relationships with Sonny and Willow. Scotty tries to comfort her about Willow and Nina tells him that she knows that she'll be ok.
Jordan tells Esme that officers are searching for Ace. Dante shows her the surveillance footage and she identifies Victor's henchman as the man who forced his way into the apartment. After they leave Esme asks Laura how Nikolas could do this and Laura tells her that he didn't, it was Victor.
Laura tells Esme about Victor and promises that they will find Ace and bring him home. She compliments Esme for being so devoted to her son. Laura is concerned about Spencer and Esme asks if he may have helped Victor but Laura tells her that she thinks Spencer is in danger too. Esme is concerned about the effects of all of this on Ace and thinks that she should leave town with him once she gets him back. Laura asks her to not make any decisions right now and to focus on getting better for Ace.
Diane sees Robert at the hospital and tells him that she came to check on him after he heard about Anna. Robert's touched that she didn't want him to have to wait for news alone. He tells her that there's no sense in them both waiting all night and she tries to distract him by talking about his travels. They are interrupted when she gets a call and has to go meet a client.
After Diane leaves Jordan and Dante tell him that they think Victor's behind everything that's happened. Robert tells them that he thinks Victor's getting ready to leave Port Charles for good. Dante's concerned that he may try to take Sam and her family as well. Laura tells them that she is worried that Victor has Spencer too.
Diane meets with Sonny who asks her to go to the PCPD and represent the man who tried to kill Lucy so that they can get information from him about where to find Victor. Robert is in the middle of trying to make a deal with the man when Diane comes in and tells the man that she'll make him a better deal. Robert takes her outside to talk and she tells him that she's going to get information and asks him to trust her.
Robert agrees to let her try and she goes into the interrogation room. When she comes back out she calls Sonny and tells him what she found out. Sonny tells Jordan, Dante, and Laura that they have a lead on Victor.
Spencer rips into Victor for ruining his chances of ever getting custody of Ace but Victor tells him that he won't have to worry about that since they are never going back to Port Charles. Trina listens from her hiding spot as they argue about not going back. Victor tells him that he needs him to help him carry out his life's mission and promises to tell him everything in good time. He warns Spencer against trying to escape and reminds him that he has Ace before having a henchman show him to his stateroom. The henchman takes Spencer to his room and locks him inside.
Victor has Liesel brought to him and she lashes out at him for kidnapping her again. He tells her that he needs her help with his plan. She notices Trina and distracts Victor and his guard so she can escape the room. Liesel continues to antagonize him until he finally has her taken back to her room.
Trina finds Spencer's stateroom and tries to convince him to swim for it with her but he refuses to leave the baby. They argue about it but she finally relents and comes up with another plan. She wants to try to find a way to raise the alarm while he stays put so no one gets suspicious. Spencer reluctantly agrees to the plan and Trina leaves, locking the door behind her.
