On today’s General Hospital recap for April 3, 2023:The Nurses' Ball kicks off, Jordan has an awkward moment on the red carpet, Victor makes an ominous prediction, Sonny hopes to steal time with Nina, Brook Lynn nurses her regret, and Michael and Willow enjoy some distraction.

Behind the scenes at the Nurses Ball, Brook Lynn is panicking but Maxie and Bobbie have everything under control. Maxie continues to ignore Lucy's calls but that doesn't stop the calls from coming. Finally, Maxie answers and tells her that everything is fine and she has to stop before hanging up again. Lucy rages but keeps watching everything unfold on TV. After the red carpet festivities are finished and the ball is about to begin, Lucy can't take it anymore and vows that she has to find a way to be there!

Michael and Willow are settled in to watch the ball and talk about attending together next year. Drew shows up to check on them before going to the ball himself and he's blown away by how Carly looks on the red carpet. Michael and Willow share a smile as they watch him. 

Backstage Chase approaches Brook Lynn and she's hopeful that there may be a chance for them but they are interrupted by Linc before they get a chance to get into it. Chase leaves to get ready and Linc warns Brook Lynn that she better stick to their contract and stay quiet about his behavior.

Sydney questions Carly about whether she plans to get back what she lost over the past year but Carly dismisses it with a laugh. Sonny arrives and flashes the dimples but she's unimpressed. Bobbie warns her to play nice and she promises to as long as he does. Inside she congratulates her mother on how great everything looks and later they talk about Sonny. Bobbie admits that she's happy they are no longer together and says that she wishes Carly was with a man who appreciated her and treats her right. Carly smiles and tells her that she might get her wish.

Sydney asks Spencer and Trina if the rumors about them are true but she tells her that they're just friends. "Good friends", Spencer adds with a smile. When Portia arrives right after Jordan Sydney tries to stir things up but Portia doesn't let her. Inside Portia has an uncomfortable encounter with Curtis that turns even more awkward when Jordan appears. 

Inside Sonny sees Nina and they reminisce about dancing in Nixon Falls. They share longing looks but know they have to stay apart for safety reasons. Joss and Dex share longing glances as well and Trina comments on it. Joss changes the subject to Trina and Spencer. When Portia comes in Trina is thrown off but Joss has her back and talks about their routine to distract her. 

On the red carpet, Sydney Val Jean interviews Port Charles residents as they arrive at the ball. She oohs and ahhs and tries to get tea out of whoever she can while ushering everyone along. Once everyone has arrived she makes a pitch to the audience to give to the worthy cause that the ball represents and tells them to enjoy the show that's about to start!

Victor watches the comings and goings in his car, evilly grinning about what he has planned for the evening. His henchman knocks on the window and tells him that they've found the car that Lucy hired to drive her and know the location of the safe house. Victor gets a gun from him and puts it in his jacket pocket, ready to pay a fatal visit to his son and Anna.
