On today’s General Hospital recap for April 7, 2023: Laura is suspicious, Spencer is in for a shock, an arrest is made, Jordan gets terrible news, Sonny and Sam offer assistance, and Lucy is frantic.

The bodyguard for the bracelet is looking for Gladys and asks Sasha where she is. Sasha suggests the lady's room and while he is looking for her Gladys comes back to the table. Sasha is shocked to see that she's not wearing the bracelet and Gladys suggests that it may have been stolen. They look for it with the bodyguard and he finds it in Cody's tux pocket where Gladys planted it!

The guard questions a clueless Cody and when Mac shows up, the guard tells him to arrest Cody. Gladys digs the hole deeper for Cody by making it look like he was talking to her over the course of the evening to scope out the bracelet. Sasha has no idea what to believe and Mac tries to ascertain what's going on but despite Cody's denials the evidence is damning and Mac has no choice but to place him under arrest. Sam comes out as they are leading him away and Cody swears to her that he's being set up.

Trina and Joss discuss what happened with Spencer and Dex and Trina tells her that she's going to get to the bottom of what's going on with Spencer. When he approaches her a little later to try to fix things she rips into him for his behavior and demands he apologizes to Dex. Trina's annoyed when he gets a call but he tells her that it's his uncle and he has to take it.

Nina is frantic to find Liesel. Maxie explains how the magician's box works to her and Sonny and they all try to figure out what happened to her. Nina's desperate to find her because she's worried that Willow can't wait any longer for her transplant. Sonny promises that they'll find her in time.

Lucy makes it to the Metrocourt but is almost captured again by one of Victor's men but Sonny saves her by bashing the guy over the head and knocking him out. Esme is watching the ball at home with Ace when Laura gets there. They have an awkward moment when Esme doesn't want Laura to touch Ace but she explains to her that she's on edge by everyone trying to take him from her and Laura understands. She gets a call about Anna being shot and tells Esme that she has to leave immediately.

Before leaving the safe house with the necklace Victor shoots Anna to punish his son. Anna wants Valentin to chase after him but he refuses to leave her. He calls for help and they declare their love before Anna passes out. Valentin calls Robert to meet them at the hospital. Laura gets to the hospital first and Valentin updates her about what happened and tells her that Anna coded in the ambulance but they were able to bring her back.

Felicia arrives just in time to hear Robert blame Valentin for Anna getting shot and rips into him for it. Valentin agrees with Robert but before they can get into it the doctor comes out to let them know Anna's holding on and in surgery. Robert and Laura talk and realize that there was something suspicious about the call she got about Anna.

Spencer arrives on the Haunted Star at his uncle's request and assures him that he didn't tell anyone where he was going. He asks Victor about Ace and Victor tells him that he has everything under control. Spencer's surprised when the engines start and Victor tells him that they're leaving Port Charles. Laura frantically races home when she can't reach Esme on the phone and is horrified when she gets there and finds the house in disarray and Esme unconscious on the floor!

The Magic Wands perform with a special appearance by former Wand, Milo. Carly gives a very special tribute to her mother, Bobbie to commemorate her 45 years as a nurse at GH. Bobbie delivers a tribute to Lucy in front of a large picture of her that Lucy crashes through, revealing to a very shocked crowd that she's alive and getting a standing ovation.
