Performer of the Week

James Patrick Stuart is one of the best actors in soaps. That’s it. That’s the tweet. Honestly, is this even up for debate? No matter the material, or the scene partner, he produces gold, always. He goes toe to toe with the vets and elevates the younger, greener actors as well. And most people don’t realize that while he’s doing the amazing work he does as Valentin Cassadine on General Hospital, he’s also portraying another lead character on The Villains of Valley View on Disney+, which is currently filming its second season. Many days he films both, which makes the work he does all the more amazing! The past few weeks Valentin’s had some really heavy lifting, storyline wise and Stuart has met each challenge effortlessly. The way that man can cry is achingly beautiful and seeing him beg Anna (Finola Hughes) to wake up after her surgery and pray for her recovery made it easy to see why Stuart has been nominated 3 years running in the very competitive Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Daytime Emmy category. We think when it comes to getting nominated for a Daytime Emmy the only thing Stuart has to worry about is how to cram everything he did that year into just a 15-minute reel! No matter what the scene calls for Stuart gives it his all and leaves everything on the field and that’s why he is our Performer of the Week! Congratulations James!

Days of Our Lives

Drugged biscuits were the bite of the week. Affected the same biscuits, Nicole and Eric hit the sheets and Sloan caught them. Talia was revealed as the one who tampered with the biscuits at Sweet Bits. Rafe pulled Jada in for a kiss after being affected by the biscuits. EJ called out Stefan and Melinda Trask. Chanel and Sloan got into a physical brawl in the Town Square. Seeing Xander and Chloe together, Gwen became suspicious and jumped to the wrong conclusion. Kayla and Steve were finally reunited after his face-off with Bo Brady. Stephanie got a clue as to her mother's location after seeking Marlena's help and going to Maggie for additional information. 

General Hospital

Spencer and Ace were taken by Victor and so was Liesl. Trina followed him and was unaware to Victor and his men, was working to rescue her man. Valentin stuck by Anna's side and she woke up. Willow broke down after learning that Obrecht was kidnapped and decided that she wanted to get married right away. Spencer created a diversion in order for Trina to do what she needed to do. She got through and made contact with her mom who reported to Curtis, Laura and Jordan. 

The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope couldn't get Thomas off her mind. Liam took his concerns to Steffy who advised him to see the change in Thomas. Brooke was asked out on a date by Hollis. Taylor told Ridge that she wants a family dinner. Hope lashed out at Brooke. Brooke brought her concerns to her daughter who shut them down. Liam confronted Thomas and wanted him to make the promise that he doesn't have to worry about him interfering in his marriage. 

The Young and the Restless

Phyllis attended her own memorial service in a disguise. Chance got evidence and Diane was arrested for the murder of Phyllis. Tucker talked about marriage with Ashley. Mariah and Tessa returned with their baby, Aria. Nate and Victoria got hot and heavy in the office as Audra listened on the outside of the door. Nick came by and learned of his sister's office romance and warned her. Jack begged Christine to look into Stark as Phyllis's murderer and the one who framed Diane. Lucy returned to town for the memorial service and Danny performed a song.
