In today's recap of The Young and the Restless for April 12, 2023: Danny keeps a secret from Daniel, Chance uncovers damaging evidence, and Phyllis stays one step ahead.

Kyle, Diane, and Jack in the Abbott Mansion all ponder Summer's decision to hold her mother's memorial at the Jazz Lounge. Summer makes a pledge to her mother's photo at the Memorial that she will make "this" right. Kyle insists that Summer wants everyone present, despite Diane's opinion that she should stay at home to reduce the stress already being experienced by Summer.

While getting ready to attend the memorial, Lily informs Daniel that she is going to be suspending work on Omega Sphere. Daniel wonders if Lily is pulling back because she believes he is not able to handle business right now. Daniel begs her not to because he needs to keep working and she agrees. 

Nick and Sally meet. He is proud of his daughter for handling all the planning for her mom's memorial but worries that it may not turn out the way she expects it to. Nick and Sally go to Crimson Lights. Nick makes the order while Sally runs into Summer. Sally offers her condolences and offers to be of help in any way that she can. Summer, however, is not having it and tells Sally not to attend - she should be with Adam instead of her father. Nick tries to talk Summer down but Summer leaves.

Stark gets a call that Phyllis didn't go to the location as planned. Phyllis is seen in the apartment preparing to go somewhere. Stark returns and searches for her but she's not there.

Everyone starts gathering for the memorial. Summer and Kyle talk. He wonders what Chance is doing there and Summer informs him that she asked him to be there. Daniel gets a surprise as Lucy returns to town to attend the service. Stark arrives and causes a stir when he says Diane deserves to be in prison for killing Phyllis. As things get a little heated, Chance escorts him out of there. 

Adam sees Sally at Crimson Lights. He thought she would be at the memorial service but she notes that Summer doesn't want her there especially now that she is having his baby. Sally invites Adam to join her. She also invites him to her next doctor's appointment where she will learn the baby's gender and notes that Nick will also be there. Sally feels something - it's the baby moving. She allows Adam to be a part of the moment. 

Summer welcomes everyone to the memorial. A disguised Phyllis shows up and looks on as Summer gives a heartfelt speech followed by Nick, Jack, Michael and Lauren, Nikki and Lucy. Chance gets a text telling him the found who bough the poison and it's Diane Jenkins.
