Y&R Recap for April 3, 2023: More Bad News

In today's recap of The Young and the Restless for April 3, 2023, Victor and Victoria conspire against Tucker, Nick stops Leanna Love in her tracks, and shocking news rocks Genoa City.

Traci checks with Jack for an update. Chance gets a call. Leanna checks with Sharon for the scoop but Sharon tells her that everyone is more worried about Phyllis and even if there was a scoop, she wouldn't give it to her. Across the room, Michael, Victoria, and Victor talk about what's happening as Nikki and Lauren join them. Stark approaches Chance and asks him why isn't there an update on his wife yet. 

Daniel walks over to Stark and asks him about his marriage to Phyllis. He and Summer are stunned when Stark presents the marriage license. They both struggle to believe, noting that their mother would never marry a lowlife like him, at least not of her own free will. 

Nick returns to the event. He talks with Daniel and Summer who are very worried about their mother. He is also shocked to learn that Phyllis married Stark. Leanna approaches Lauren and Michael trying to find out what they know. They shun her telling her that have no comment. 

Diane wants to leave. Kyle reminds her that none of what is happening is her fault. He encourages her to stay because they need her there. Jack is talking with Traci and he tells her that he is worried about Summer and Kye and Diane as well. Leanna has questions for Jack but he has no interest in feeding her any information. Victor says he wants her out of there and Nick promises to get it done. Nikki, Victoria and Victor leave as Nick promises to keep them updated. 

Leanna introduces herself to Stark. Nick approaches and tells her to go because she wants to hear his side of the story. She leaves, but not before assuring Stark that she hopes they would eventually talk more. Sharon expresses to Nick her desire for Phyllis to be unharmed. She advises him to hold out for the best. Chance informs the group that there was an accident. Daniel and Stark argue.

Tucker reveals to Audra that he and JT are somewhat close. She lets him know that she wants to have him interviewed on a medical podcast by Elena Dawson. Audra reveals that JT was released from prison and she wants Tucker's help to find him. Tucker agrees but tells Audra that it will cost her. 

Victoria, Nikki, and Victor visit Society. Victor and Victoria caution Nikki against placing the burden on herself because Phyllis disregards everyone's opinions and does what she pleases. They hear Audra and Tucker conversing behind them, and Victor says that despite Victoria defending Audra, he is still interested in learning more about her.

Audra is ready to leave but stops by Victor and Victoria's table first. They talk business as Audra notes that her talk with Tucker was just a means of keeping the enemy close. In this mini-meeting, Victoria learns that Devon dropped the lawsuit. Audra leaves them to strategize. Victor and Nikki leave for home after their discussion. Tucker is approached by Victoria, who extends an offer to buy him a drink.

Chance learns something from the officer. He tells Chance that Diane had already taken the ring out of Phyllis's hand earlier. He also describes what happened with the ambulance when it was headed to the hospital. He tells Chance that Phyllis woke up briefly and kept whispering the words, "poison, poison, poison". Chance comes back to tell everyone the news. He expresses his condolences for their loss and informs them that it has been determined that Phyllis did not survive.
