Y&R Recap for April 6, 2023: Michael Gets A Very Alarming Message

In today's recap of The Young and the Restless for April 6, 2023, Victor and Jack join forces, Michael receives a disturbing message, and Nikki takes matters into her own hands.

Sally embraces Nick as she struggles to come to terms with the fact that Phyllis is dead. She offers to be there for him for as long as he needs her. Nick tells Sally about his past with Phyllis

Sharon watches as Chance and Christine meet at the coffee house. Christine laments that the fire's significant destruction makes it impossible to conduct a reliable autopsy on Phyllis' remains. Chance observes that a sample from the wreckage is being processed in the lab. If it is determined that Phyllis was poisoned, according to Christine, they will have a completely new problem to worry about. Michael Baldwin enters, Chance departs to give them privacy to talk but not before promising to inform Christine of the test findings. Michael remarks that Lauren is struggling to keep up. Christine pledges to make every effort to discover the truth. Michael admits that Phyllis left him a voicemail. He plays the voice message which is Phyllis saying that Diane threatened to kill her. Michael laughs saying, "It's almost as if Phyllis planned this."

Sharon tells Chance about her past with Phyllis. She notes that when she was undergoing cancer treatment, Phyllis showed her genuine kindness. 

Phyllis criticizes the coffee Stark gives her. He advises her to get used to it because she's never going back to Genoa City now that she faked her death. There is no going back at this point, he informs her, as their plan is coming together flawlessly. There's a knock at the door. Since nobody is supposed to be aware that they are there, Phyllis expresses concern about who might be there. Carson, the EMT, is there. He is there because he still needs to take care of some unfinished business with Stark. According to Carson, everything happened as planned, and both the police and everyone else bought the story. He receives payment from Stark and departs. The final goal, according to Stark, is to have Diane be a murder suspect, and he discloses that he wants her to go to prison. Phyllis wants to know how everyone responded to hearing of her passing, but Stark tells her to get over it. Stark and Phyllis are ready to part ways. Stark tells her to pick a place because she will be leaving tonight. Phyllis looks at her phone and sees an article saying that a memorial service for Phyllis is set to be announced. 

Kyle tells Jack good morning. Jack is unable to accurately respond to the question about how he's doing since he feels like a nightmare. Kyle queries Jack about his opinion of Stark's allegations. Jack claims that they are ludacris and that Diane could not have harmed Phyllis in any way. Summer arrives downstairs. As she asks for Harrison, Kyle and Jack inform her that he isn't present. She wonders if they were worried she would go off on Diane again. She claims to be over her pain and mentions that she still has work to do. She claims it has nothing to do with Marchetti, contrary to their assumptions. She is ready to plan the memorial service for her mother. 






Over at Society, Victor and Nikki talk about how much Phyllis' death affects Nick. Summer thanks Victor and Nikki for joining her over at the Abbott Mansion. They are stunned to learn that Summer is already planning a memorial for her mother. They offer to be there for her for whatever she might need.
