Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on May 18, 2023: Things heat up between Chanel and Talia. Sloan discovers Nicole's secret! Rafe and Jada have a startling realization about Colin. Paulina and Abe find themselves in grave danger.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap for May 18, 2023: Marlena Reads Belle and Eric the Riot Act!
Nicole tries to grab the pills bottle back from Sloan but she refuses to hand it over. She tells Nicole that Eric told her about her being in menopause and questions why she would need prenatal vitamins. Nicole tries to cover but Sloan sees that she's lying and realizes that Nicole is pregnant. She drags Nicole for trying to get Eric back by tricking him into getting her pregnant but Nicole says that's not what is happening.
Nicole tells Sloan that she doesn't know who the father of the baby is because she is with EJ. She tells Sloan that she wants to keep it a secret until she can have a paternity test. Nicole asks her not to say anything and when Sloan pushes back against that idea, Nicole asks her if she really wants Eric to know that Nicole may be carrying his baby. Sloan agrees to keep the secret just as Marlena walks up to them.
Marlena greets Nicole happily but is a little cooler in her greeting to Sloan. Sloan suggests that she and Eric take Marlena and John to dinner one night and Marlena agrees to ask her husband. Sloan tells her that it will make Eric happy to hear that they are going to get to know each other. After she leaves Nicole and Marlena chat about Sloan and what Eric told her. Marlena says that it shows them what kind of woman Sloan really is. Before leaving she tells Nicole that her door is always open if she wants to talk.
Rafe and Jada go over the information about Colin that they got back from Scottland Yard. They find out that he has an arrest record and that his last name is actually Bedford. Rafe remembers that is also the last name of Sloan's parents and they realize that Colin must be her brother. Jada thinks that he must have been why Talia is involved with everything going on with Paulina and Chanel and tries to call her sister. When she can't get in touch with Talia, Jada and Rafe decide to look for her at the Pub.
Belle comes into the pub and tells Eric that Brady told her that he and Sloan are getting serious. She is obviously not happy about it and they start to argue. As their fight escalates, Marlena comes in and rushes over, telling them to knock it off and reprimanding them for arguing like that. She expressed her disappointment in them for not being able to put aside their differences and disagreements even after everything their family has been through and tells them that they've spoiled her appetite and ruined her lunch plans before leaving.
After Marlena is gone, Eric and Belle sit down and apologize to each other. Belle admits that she lashed out at her brother because she's worried about Shawn and feels helpless to help him. She said since she can't fix her own life, she wanted to fix her brother's. Eric understands but explains to her that he's gotten to really know Sloan and he knows she's not behind what has been happening to Paulina and Chanel.
Sloan arrives and Belle greets her politely before hugging her brother and leaving. Sloan is surprised and Eric asks about her trip to the hospital. She is about to tell him about running into Nicole but they are interrupted by Rafe and Jada arriving and telling her that they need to speak to her about her brother.
Chanel tells Talia that she knows about Jada accusing her of being involved with drugging the biscuits and assures her that neither she nor Paulina thinks she had anything to do with it. She doesn't understand how Jada could accuse her own sister but Talia defends her sister and says she is just trying to do her job.
Chanel asks Talia if she wants to go to her bedroom so they aren't interrupted again and after a brief hesitation Talia tells her that she does. Chanel takes her hand and leads her into the bedroom, telling her that they will go as slow as Talia needs before kissing her. They removed each other's shirts and are making out on the bed when Talia suddenly stops and stands up, telling Chanel that she can't do this. Chanel is confused and thinks she was going too fast but Talia tells her that she has a confession to make.
Paulina and Abe think they are talking to the health inspector but it is really Colin. Paulina tells him that Sloan is the one who drugged the biscuits but the police can't do anything without hard evidence. Colin leads them into a discussion about the dispute between them and he puts Abe and Paulina on the defensive. He tells them that he read all about it in the newspapers but then slips up when they are talking about the threatening text messages. He repeats what the text says and Paulina and Abe immediately pick up on it. Colin uses a rolling pin to knock Abe out and then advances on Paulina with it!
