On Days of Our Lives for May 2, 2023: Jada is unsettled by the discrepancies in Talia’s statement, Chanel gets bad news about her bakery; Brady learns Chloe and Xander are moving in together, and Alex tells Gwen they should stop seeing each other.

Rafe shows Jada Leo's column talking about their kiss and Jada is furious. Rafe is just glad he had already disclosed it to Abe so they won't get in trouble. Jada can't stop thinking about the issues with her sister's statement. She has a really bad stress headache and her shoulder's hurting. Rafe goes to massage it for her but has second thoughts because of their feelings for each other and what happened. He brings her headache medicine and water and tells her that he'll be in his office if she comes up with anything.

Colin is happily reading Leo's column when Talia comes out of the shower. She's upset when she sees that her sister is being targeted but Colin tells her that this will help them with the next steps since the police are distracted. Talia questions if maybe they should stop but Colin is insistent that he needs revenge for what Chanel did to his family.

Colin blames all of his problems on Chanel and thinks that if she was punished enough it would help him. Talia is concerned that he's talking about killing her but he assures her that he's not a murderer like Chanel is, he just wants her to lose everything and be heartbroken. Talia is upset when he tells her that he wants her to seduce Chanel and then break her heart. She tries to tell him that she's not gay or bi but he insists that it's the only way. He plays on her love for him to get her to agree to his plan.

Chanel is devastated when she gets to the bakery and sees that it has been shut down by the health inspector. Paulina tries to comfort her and tell her that it's only temporary but Chanel remains disheartened. Paulina vows that they are going to fight and that Abe will help him. Chanel calls Talia to give her the news before going to find Abe with her mother.

Gwen chastises Leo for ordering another extravagant breakfast and tells him that they have to find an apartment to save money. When Alex arrives to talk to Gwen, Leo goes to scout places to live so they can have some privacy. Gwen is happy Alex is there and thinks he came over so they could have sex but her mood changes when he tells her that he thinks they should stop sleeping together.

Alex explains to Gwen about the therapy he is doing with Marlena and that they are working on his unhealthy sex habits. He tells her that he was using sex with her to not deal with his feelings for Stephanie and it wasn't fair to either of him. He really likes her and thinks they both deserve better than that. Alex gets her to admit that she was doing the same thing in regard to her feelings for Xander and suggests that she could benefit from therapy for it as well. Gwen rejects that suggestion but understands him ending things between them.

Xander and Chloe are checking out an apartment when Brady arrives to check out the same one for him and Rachel. He is not happy when he finds out that Chloe is looking for an apartment with Xander. Things get even more tense when Leo shows up to check out the apartment for him and Gwen. He taunts them all about putting them in his column until Xander reminds Leo that he is his boss. Chloe is mad at Xander for announcing that he will be the one paying all the rent at first and none of them realize that Leo is recording the conversation on his phone. Brady is less than thrilled when Xander and Chloe decide to take the apartment.

At the police station, Jada tells Paulina she has a few more questions for her about the break-in at her office. She questions her about who else would have access to her keys and Paulina remembers them being out the days Chanel introduced her to Talia and she had her panic attack. This bit of information increases Jada's suspicions about her sister being involved.

Chanel goes into Rafe's office to talk to him and notices a new picture on his desk of Allie and Henry. She gets emotional as she talks about them. Rafe inadvertently tells her that Allie is seeing someone new and feels bad when Chanel quickly leaves his office in tears.

Leo goes back to the Inn and breaks the bad news to Gwen about Xander and Chloe moving in together. Chloe runs into Brady in the apartment. He tells her that he still loves her and thinks she still loves him too. At the motel Xander sees Colin going into what he thinks is Talia's room. Chanel is cleaning the bakery when Talia arrives. She tells her that she's had a really bad day. Thalia says that she knows how to make her feel better right before she kisses her!
