On Days of Our Lives for May 3, 2023: Alex receives an opportunity to prove himself to Maggie, Chloe insists to Brady there is no chance for them to be together, Talia makes her move on Chanel, and Jada can’t shake her suspicion that Talia has been going after Paulina and Chanel.

Maggie chastises Alex for being late to work and he tells her that he was ending things with Gwen. He tries to make it clear to her that he is determined to make things right and prove himself to her but Maggie is skeptical. They are interrupted when Maggie gets a phone call from Victor telling her about Bo.

Maggie relays the news to Alex and tells him that Victor is getting ready to go to Greece. Alex encourages her to go with him for support and offers to handle things at Titan in her absence. Maggie is very hesitant but finally agrees. She gives him a folder with information about a very important deal for the company and tells him that all he needs to do is close it. Alex promises to not let her down again.

Rafe and Jada go over the facts of the case again. Rafe is convinced that it has to be Sloan but Jada still has doubts about her sister. They realize that whoever took Paulina's keys had a very small window to duplicate them. Jada remembers that there is a small hardware store near the square and they leave to question the owner.

Leo lets Gwen cry on his shoulder about Xander moving in with Chloe and Alex ending things. She admits she was using Alex as much as he was using her and it's more her pride hurt than anything else but her pain over Xander is real. Leo encourages her to face it honestly and work through it and she agrees to try. They share a touching moment about their friendship before she leaves to go clear her head.

Xander and Colin spar in the hallway at the motel. Colin tries to convince Xander that it wasn't his room that he saw Talia come out of but Xander is sure it was. Colin lobs some subtle threats at him which Xander is unimpressed with. Before going into his room Colin tells Xander to mind his own business and he'll be the same. Xander leaves their encounter happy that he's moving out.

At the apartment, Chloe tells Brady that she loves him too but they have to accept that it's over between them. Kristen turning Rachel against her isn't something that they'll be able to get past and them loving each other isn't enough. She tells him that she loves that he prioritizes his daughter and that she knows he always will, as he should. Brady can't deny what she's saying but is heartbroken over their breakup. Chloe tells him that she will always love him and they share a passionate goodbye kiss that is interrupted by Xander coming in.

At the bakery, Talia and Chanel discuss why Talia kissed her and Chanel's bad day. Chanel tells her about finding out about Allie seeing someone new and needing to move on herself. Chanel kisses Talia but Talia pulls away. Chanel is confused as Talia is remembering her conversation with Colin about seducing Chanel.

Talia covers by expressing concern about a boss/employee relationship. Chanel assures her that it's fine for them to become involved and asks her out on a date. In the square later, Chanel runs into Leo who quizzes her on her engagement to Johnny. She reminds him that it wasn't real and tells him that she actually has a date with someone else that night.

In his motel room, Colin looks at an article about Sweet Bits being closed down and is happy with this development. He's thrilled when Talia comes in and tells him that she has a date planned with Chanel. He notices that she is not happy about it and expresses to her how important this is to him.

Xander and Chloe share pizza and beer on the floor of their new apartment and toast to each other. At the pub, Gwen joins Brady and they agree to drown their sorrows over Xander and Chloe together. In the square Rafe and Jada question the hardware store owner. The man does not recognize Sloan but does recognize Talia and says she was in a big hurry to get her key made.
