Days of Our Lives recap for May 5, 2023:

On Days of Our Lives for May 5, 2023: Gabi takes Nicole to the hospital when Nicole suddenly doubles over in pain, in Greece, Steve protests when he learns he and Chad must work with Harris, Kayla and Stephanie run into Alex, who offers a heartfelt apology, and EJ and Eric come to blows.

Stephanie and Kayla go to the hospital to get Kayla's job back. She is successfully reinstated and while they are celebrating their victory, Alex approaches them. He welcomes Kayla home and apologizes for keeping Stephanie from her bedside when she was dying. Kayla accepts his apology and gets paged for a patient so she has to leave. 

After Kayla's gone Alex apologizes to Stephanie again and tells her about being in therapy with Marlena. He asks for her help with the project at Titan and explains the situation between him and Maggie. Stephanie's skeptical but finally agrees to help him as long as it's just business.

In Greece, Chad and Steve are discussing their search for Kate when Harris knocks on the door. He tells them that Andrew sent him to help them find Kate. Steve wants nothing to do with him and refuses his help but Chad talks Steve into accepting it. Steve warns Harris that he'll be watching him.

On the boat, Mauricio brings Kate breakfast and laughs at her disdain for the food. She demands to speak to his boss but he says he can't help her. Mauricio taunts her about what he plans to do with her rings and Kate grabs a knife and holds his hand down. She threatens to cut off his finger if he doesn't take her to his boss. Mauricio relents and brings her to a nice cabin on the ship. The door opens and Kate is stunned by who she sees!

EJ confronts Eric about sleeping with Nicole and tells him that Sloan was the one who told him. Eric tries to explain that they were drugged but EJ doesn't care and punches him. Eric admits that he deserved it for punching EJ before but EJ says that they are not done. Eric tells him to bring it before heading into the pub and unsuccessfully tries to call Nicole to warn her.

At the mansion, Gabi thinks Nicole is faking to get Gabi to not send her report on EJ. Once Gabi realizes that she's actually in pain she brings her to the hospital. Later when EJ gets home and is looking for Nicole, Gabi taunts him about her ex's before finally telling him that Nicole is at the hospital.

At the hospital, Kayla and Nicole go over her symptoms and Nicole realizes that she's late when she checks her period tracking app. Kayla suggests that she may be entering menopause but Nicole pushes back, saying it can't be that. Kayla agrees to run some tests and when they come back she tells Nicole that she's not in menopause, she's pregnant!
