Days of Our Lives recap for May 9, 2023:

On Days of Our Lives for May 9, 2023: Jada gets intriguing information about Talia from Chloe and Xander, Colin is pleased to learn Talia is making progress with Chanel, so he turns his focus towards Paulina, Tripp urges Wendy to stay in Seattle with him, and Johnny opens up to Chanel, worried Wendy has chosen Tripp.

Wendy wakes up to find that Tripp has made her breakfast. After they eat she gets a call from Johnny asking when she is coming home and telling her that he misses her. Tripp does the dishes and then they talk about her plans. He tells her that he would like her to stay with him while he's there so they can explore their relationship and spend time together before they both go back to Salem but Wendy thinks she needs to go home now. Tripp asks if that means she's chosen Johnny and she assures him that it doesn't. They share a romantic kiss before she leaves.

Chloe wakes up and thanks Xander for the great mattress he bought for her but is upset when he brings up their deal and expects her to make breakfast for him. She tells him that she agreed to help out, not be his full-time maid and cook, and then tells him that she's moving out. Xander stops her and apologizes and offers to take her out to breakfast so they can lay out the details of their deal together.

Talia is on the phone with Colin, updating him about her date. He says he is going to concentrate on his plans for Paulina while she romances Chanel. Jada overhears her sister asking about what his plans for Paulina are and approaches her. Talia quickly ends her call and when Jada asks who she was talking to, Talia lies and tells her that it was Chanel.

Jada continues to push and Talia storms off. After she leaves Xander and Chloe come in and ask Jada about the investigation into the biscuits. Xander mentions seeing Talia at the motel and Jada questions him about it, telling him that Talia is her sister. Xander tells her about his run-in with Colin at the motel and what room he's staying in and Jada quickly leaves.

Talia goes to see Colin at the motel and he asks her if there's any medication they can give Paulina to induce more panic attacks. Talia is not happy and tells him that they don't work that way and asks if he's planning on hurting Paulina. He distracts her from the question, kissing her and promising her that it'll all be over soon and then they can be happy together. After Talia leaves he is sending a text on his phone when Jada knocks on the door and tells him that it's the police.

Chanel gets up and finds Abe and Paulina eating breakfast. Paulina asks her about her date and they fill Abe in on everything. Chanel tells them that the health inspector refuses to even talk about letting her reopen the bakery until the police have found the person behind the drugged biscuits. Paulina insists to Abe that they have to deal with this and drags him out before he can finish his breakfast.

After they're gone Johnny shows up to talk to Chanel about his situation with Wendy. He thinks that he should fly to Seatle to try to win her back but Chanel encourages him to sit back and stay cool. She tells him about her date with Talia and tells him that she's unsure of what to do because she hasn't heard from her yet.

Johnny suggests that she follow the advice she gave him and tells her that anyone would be lucky to have her. Chanel tells him that the same applies to him before he leaves. A little while after he leaves there's a knock on Chanel's door and it's Talia, holding flowers.

At the police station, Pauline demands to know why Rafe hasn't arrested Sloan yet. Rafe and Abe explain that he needs evidence and they haven't found any against Sloan. He tells them that Jada had suspected her sister Talie and Paulina is shocked. Rafe runs down the reasons Talia was a suspect but then tells them that she's not anymore. Paulina is relieved. Abe leaves to go check on some things and as she's talking to Rafe, Paulina receives another threatening text message!
