General Hospital Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for May 26, 2023: Willow Gets Her Transplant!
Spoilers for General Hospital on May 26, 2023: Diane and Nina clash; Anna seeks out Robert; Drew is suspicious; Ned pleads with Olivia; and Willow's loved ones rally around her.
General Hospital Episode Recap May 26, 2023: Willow Gets Her Transplant!
Sonny and Carly are cleaning up after breakfast when he broaches the subject of her turning on him to get a deal again. She turns him down again and then takes a call from Drew. He is calling to check on Willow because she is getting her transplant today. Carly tells him she was about to go to the hospital and asks if he's going to be there. Drew tells her that he can't because he is working on their plan to get the information they can use against Tracy. He promises her that they are going to get out of the legal mess they are in before hanging up.
Joss comes home and asks what Sonny is doing there. Her visit to Sonny's office is mentioned and Carly wants to know why she was there. Joss says she asked Sonny for a favor and he turned her down. Sonny chimes in that he told her to have her friend talk to him himself. After Sonny leaves, Carly tells Joss about his engagement to Nina.
Joss is mad but Carly tells her that it's good news because it's a clean break, Sonny is committed to Nina and she is committed to Drew. Carly asks if Dex is the friend she went to talk to Sonny about and Joss admits that he is and that she wanted Sonny to fire him. Carly asks how Dex felt about that and Joss tells her that he was upset that she did it without talking to him. Joss tells her about her fight with Michael but says it was about him not wanting her to see Dex. Carly is sure they will get past it but Joss is unconvinced.
At Sonny's penthouse, Nina is unsuccessfully trying to get information about Willow from the hospital when Diane shows up. Nina asks her if she can sue the hospital and Diane tells her to talk to her daughter if she wants information. She congratulates Nina on her engagement but shuts her down when Nina tries to bond with her. Diane makes it clear that she is not interested in a friendship with Nina.
Sonny comes home and Diane suggests they speak in private but he wants to include Nina. Sonny tells Nina about Carly having the chance to make a deal to turn on him for immunity with the SEC. Nina starts to panic and is insistent that Carly is going to turn on him to save herself. Sonny tells her that he told Carly to do it because he would be fine but she refused and he is sure she won't change her mind without telling him first. Nina is unconvinced but Sonny is sure.
After Nina leaves for a meeting with Olivia, Sonny and Diane talk and Sonny wants all the information she has on the possible investigation into him. He is convinced that the SEC is just being used to come after him and although he won't rule Ned out, he's not sure there ever was a tip made to them. Sonny asks Diane to try to find out information on the investigation into him from Robert. Diane pushes back against that idea but eventually promises to think about it.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Oliva, Ned, Brook Lynn, and Tracy are talking about Brook Lynn reuniting with Chase, and Tracy is taking the credit. Talk turns to the SEC investigation with Ned, again insisting he did not make the tip and only Brook Lynn believing him. Drew tells him he wishes he could but he is the one who threatened to do it. Brook Lynn shocks everyone but Tracy when she tells them that she's returned to her job at Deception. She assures them that it was what she wanted but Drew is suspicious it had something to do with Tracy.
Oliva says she has a meeting and leaves. Ned follows her and tells her that he is going to prove his innocence to her and kisses her passionately. After she leaves Tracy tells him that he's making a mistake. In the parlor, Drew is questioning Brook Lynn about if anyone is forcing her to work for Deception. She looks like she is about to tell him when Tracy comes in and says she needs to speak to her.
Robert and Anna are having lunch at the Metrocourt. They talk about Holly and the situation she is in and Robert tells Anna that they said a final goodbye before she left. Anna doesn't know if it's really over for good with them but encourages him to pursue a relationship with Diane. When Diane steps off of the elevator, Anna takes her leave and tells him to make a move.
At the bar, Olivia and Nina are going through paperwork and Nina tells her about the engagement with Sonny. Olivia congratulates her and they talk about the SEC investigation. Olivia admits that she, and everyone else, think it was Ned who made the anonymous tip to the SEC. Nina is surprised but tries to cover. She says it could have been anyone but Olivia can't think of anyone other than Ned who would do it. Nina tells her that the SEC matter might be used to take down Sonny and that Carly is being encouraged to turn on him for a deal.
Willow is being prepped for her transplant and is touched when Michael brings the kids to say hi to her through the window. Sasha shows up and takes the kids so they can talk alone and then Michael takes them so Willow can talk to Sashsa. She tells Willow that she is going to be fine and not worry about any other outcome. Carly and Joss show up to support Michael and he updates them on everything. Carly notices the tension but they tell her that everything is fine. As Willow's transplant starts, they are surprised to see Sonny at the hospital as well.
