The Young and the Restless recap for May 10, 2023:

In today's episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor loses patience with Nick, Victor drives a hard bargain with Adam, Sally and Chloe await important news, and Nikki forces Victoria to come clean about Nate.

Arriving at Newman, Nikki questions her daughter about why she and Nate cut their trip short. Victoria claimed that they returned after completing their task. Her mother questions what transpired on the vacation and wonders why she didn't attend the event for Neil. Victoria reluctantly acknowledges that her friendship with Nate has evolved into something more intimate.  Nikki is shocked but Victoria admits to them having a mutual attraction which was acted on before now. 

Over at Society, Chelsea and Adam talk about how gloomy Connor has been since he learned about the baby. Adam spots Billy and Chelsea begs him not to say anything negative. Billy comes over as Adam leaves. Chelsea opens up about the situation with Connor. Billy is sure Connor will ask for help once he needs it. Chelsea notes that she just wants to hold her son and let him know that everything will be alright. 

Elena is depressed when Audra arrives at Crimson Lights and inquires if she saw Nate and Victoria hard at work in LA. Elena notes that they were hard at something but it wasn't work and at least Nate had the decency to admit it. Elena admits that her relationship with Nate is finished. There is no turning back, she claims. She is done attempting to save him from himself. Victoria and he deserve each other. They discuss her podcast's potential for growth. She is advised by Audra not to abandon it. Audra proposes that Elena should invite JT to town. Victoria would feel slapped in the face by that. She advises her not to put her faith in Nate because he has no allegiances. Nate makes it in time to eavesdrop on this.

Sally discovers Nick stayed the night when she awakens in her bed at the GCAC. Nick needs to go see his father but she invites him to stay in bed for breakfast. She is opposed to a Newman family conflict. He informs her that he's simply going to work. She will meet with Chloe to discuss workplace ergonomics.  He leaves after she makes a commitment to take vitamins. 

At Crimson Lights, Sally meets with Chloe to discuss their meeting with Jill. Given how she handled their previous contract, Chloe isn't feeling hopeful about it. When Jill calls Sally. She explains that Jill wants to wait. Adam shows up and inquires as to the situation. Chloe decides to leave. Sally informs her ex of the failure of her deal. Adam makes her an offer to work at McCall. He proposes she takes Chloe along and works as his COO again. She counsels him to consider this carefully. His dad would go crazy. When she reveals that her father offered to set her up wherever she wanted to go as long as she left the baby with him, he becomes incensed. Adam is persuaded by Sally not to take up arms and to give up on trying to resolve her issues. He wants her help. The business is in shambles.

Billy proposes to Chelsea that they take their sons on a special date. That will undoubtedly cheer Connor up. When Chloe arrives, she argues that Jill is ruining her bargain once more. He offers to speak with his mother. Chelsea invites Chloe to a girl's night but Chloe declines. Chelsea departs for therapy. Chloe highlights how much Billy has changed and is happy Chelsea has someone she can count on. 

Nikki wonders if Victoria and Nate's connection would have an effect on the company. Although Victoria claims she won't allow anything to harm the company, her mother is still concerned. Nick enters dejectedly and begins berating Victor. He claims he made an effort to compensate Sally. Nikki leaves. Victoria tells her brother that Elena and their mother are aware of her connection with Nate. Her brother believes that now that she has everything she wanted, she is content. She asserts that she does not like Elena's suffering. He is concerned about Nate's commitment to the organization.

At Society, Nick barges in and confronts Victor. Victor crosses his arms and grins. He says that Sally didn't relay their talk accurately. He is simply protecting the family from being taken advantage of. He implies that by declining him, she was simply raising the stakes. Victor admits that he would take a child from the wrong mother. He is instructed to leave her and the baby alone by his son. 

Adam visits his father in the park. He offers to become McCall's CEO if his father backs off. He tells him that Sally and his daughter are off-limits. Victor doesn't like having his terms set for him, but he will accept them. Adam says that he has already hired Sally and produced a press release. He anticipates that he will take a back seat and let him assign workers as he deems fit. If not, he can look for new CEO.
