The Young and the Restless recap for May 15, 2023:





In today's episode of The Young and the Restless, Jack keeps a secret from Diane, Elena discusses the state of affairs with Nate, and Sally ponders an important decision.




Sally and Adam get together at Crimson Lights to discuss his job offer. She informs him that she will decline his offer. Adam believes it is because of Nick. Sally emphasizes that just because she is dating his brother does not preclude her from making her own decisions. She acknowledges that they had their moments at Newman Media. She hasn't changed her mind, and her decision is final. She claims that no Newman will ever sign her paychecks again. Sally reminds him of the limits. She merely wants him to be their child's father. She encourages him to get on with his life. She requests that he find a way to let her go. She'll keep him up to date on doctor's appointments. She believes that this is for the best and that he will eventually agree with her.






Nate makes his way to Newman. Victoria inquires as to how he is and how things are going with Elena. Elena smashed a photo of them and has moved out, Nate reveals. Victoria wants to know if they'll reunite, but Nate says their relationship is shattered and he doesn't want to mend it. Elena desires a version of him that no longer exists, but he didn't want her to be hurt. He admits that he would never have done this with Victoria if he didn't want more. She inquires as to where he wants things to proceed from here. She only wants more, but she understands that he needs time to get over Elena. He claims that avoiding will make matters worse. He runs into Audra as he's leaving but they don't get a chance to exchange any words.








Nick has just finished a meeting in the lounge of the Athletic Club when he notices Elena. She opens up about Nate and tells him he was correct about him. She reveals that she is now staying upstairs. She inquires as to how long he was aware, but he refuses to answer. They have a drink and converse. Nick offers to pay for tonight's dinner, but she declines. Elena swears not to criticize his sister for the time being. Nick informs her that she is able to record the podcast from home. When the conversation turns to him and Sally, he admits that he is happier than he has ever been and Elena couldn't be happier for him. 






Kyle wants the truth to be revealed at the Abbott Estate, but Michael is opposed. Daniel agrees to some extent. Diane walks in and inquires about the status of the case. There are no updates, but she is perplexed as to why Daniel is present. She promptly expresses her sympathy. He praises her and informs her that she will not be sent to prison. She wonders what he means, but Michael responds quickly. Daniel acknowledges that he believes her and feels Stark is to blame for everything. He steps aside after she calls him a good man. Micheal claims that they must bring Phyllis home. Daniel does not want her in jail. Phyllis, Jack believes, should be arrested for her and their safety. Daniel is thanked by Jack for the revelation. Kyle is furious because he can't tell his wife that her mother is alive while she's been weeping herself to sleep and blames his mother for her alleged death. Jack attempts to talk him out of it and promises to contact Christine. Kyle agrees to dodge the subject until Jack returns. 




Sally arrives at her GCAC suite to find Nick waiting for her with a romantic dinner for two. She inquires as to what is going on, and he informs her that he has fallen madly in love with her. He tells her about a talk with someone who gave him a reminder. Every minute of every day, he thinks about her. Nobody will be able to keep her away from him, he says. They kiss and make their way to the bed.



Jack sits at Society, waiting for Christine, who texts that she will be late. Jack gets a memory alert on his phone of him and Phyllis. Victor comes in and stuns Jack. Victor tells Jack that he looks like he's just seen a ghost. While Jack is away, Diane tells Kyle that she is annoyed that they are arranging her defense rather than his vacation with Summer. Kyle claims that she cannot make this go away, but that he can. "There's something you need to know," he says.
