The Young and the Restless recap for May 2, 2023:

In today's episode of The Young and the Restless: Victor gives Sally an ultimatum, Summer struggles with keeping secrets from Kyle, and Elena connects with J.T. Hellstrom.

Elena and Audra re-convene. Audra has some good news for her this time. J.T. receives a video call from Elena. She gives him an introduction and informs him about her program. Even though he doesn't necessarily want to go back to that difficult time in his life, he will comply with it if it's Victoria's request. Elena says she will book his trip and pay for his hotel stay, but he says he has no interest in going back to Genoa City. Elena requests that he consider it for a while and then get back to her. Elena informs Audra when she gets back that she is going to Los Angeles. She is determined to figure out what's really going on. 

Nate and Victoria wake up in bed together. They talk about breakfast. Nate observes that it will be difficult to avoid her. He claims that being with her was not part of his travel plans. Although he betrayed Elena, he doesn't want to be the kind of guy who lies to his girlfriend. Nate says he needs to do the right thing. Nate declares that he likes Victoria. They agree to be fully clothed at all times when dealing with each other and never ever be alone together in the same room.

Summer remembers her interaction with Phyllis in the park. When Kyle enters, he sees the expression on his wife's face. As he approaches, she gives him a hug. Summer replies that it was nothing when he inquires about her errand. She agrees to his request that she does not move into the guest room. She pledges to improve. Kyle asks if she thinks he is guilty by association. He continues to believe that his mother is innocent and accepts that Summer may still hold her belief. Summer counsels Kyle to let Michael handle his duties even if Kyle wishes there was a way to establish his mother's innocence. Kyle moves away to prepare some food. Summer storms out after recalling what her mother said. 

When Adam sees Sally. She believes Victor sent him. Adam says no. Sally reveals that Victor texted her asking to see her. Sally wants him to explain himself since he is not there because of Victor. For the infant, he wants to create a trust fund. Adam is leaving, and Sally explains they have some time to decide on the child's future, but for now, Victor is waiting. 

Victoria's replacement at work is Nick. The two of them couldn't be absent at the same time, so Nikki is glad he's there. Nick informs Nikki of Victor's efforts to convince him to make nice to Adam and back off so that Adam and Sally may get back together. Nick informs Nikki that if they concentrate more on their business than his love life, they will be more successful. Adam shows up. He requests speaking with Nick alone. As she leaves, Nikki sends her congratulations to Adam. Nick is informed by Adam that he visited Sally. Adam tells him that she was leaving to go to Society since Victor had called her. Nick is prepared to go but Adam stops him.

Sally shows up to Society for her meeting with Victor. She says she's sorry and hopes she didn't keep him waiting too long. Victor congratulates Sally on her pregnancy and expecting a daughter. Victor prompted her to discuss his grandchild there, pointing out that there are a few things she needs to be aware of before the child is born. He offers her a proposal and apologizes for interfering with her business transaction with Jill. Wherever she wants to go, he will financially support her business, just not in Genoa City.
