The Young and the Restless recap for May 23, 2023:


In today's episode of The Young and the Restless, Jack and Billy strategize against Ashley, Tucker and Audra reach an understanding, and Sharon shares disturbing news with Nick.







Devon and Abby have a conversation. She says she's glad he didn't buy Tucker's firm, and he has no regrets. They kiss, and she mentions her date with Dominic. Devon has to go, but he can't help but get drawn in. He steps outdoors and discovers boxes in the corridor and notes that Nate and Elena must be moving.





Nate believes there is something he and Victoria can use when it comes to McCall. Nick interrupts, and he is irritated. As Nate departs, Nick wishes to discuss financial concerns. Victoria claims her father quizzed her after he riled him up. She claims she wanted to be the one to break the news about her and Nate. He admits to speaking out of turn, but his primary worry is for the firm. When Victoria compares what she did to what he did with Sally, he reminds her that Sally was never after his job. They quarrel, and she believes Nate should be recognized for his efforts. Nick claims Nate is waving a big red flag, but Victoria tells him that she is in charge and begs him to move on.

When Tucker meets Audra in Chancellor Park, he welcomes her. She's amazed he's still in town. He informs her that things are going well with Ashley. He also informs her that he has moved into the Abbott home. Audra discusses Nate and the characteristics she admires about him. She refers to him as Tucker's opposite. Tucker is ready to go, but not before reminding Audra that Nate has shown he is not beyond betraying people close to him.






Billy and Jack converse at Society. Jack appears aloof and seems to have missed what his brother said. He is preoccupied with thoughts of Diane. Billy believes Ashey is plotting a coup. Jack becomes agitated, and Billy adds that Diane appears to have undue influence over him. Billy claims that his brother has always done the right thing and that he is not plotting a revolution, but Ashley is concerned that Diane will compel Jack to give her a senior role in their firm. As Jack walks away, Abby emerges and greets Billy, who apologizes for not coming by to see the baby. They discuss how concerned they are about Summer, and Abby is concerned that Tucker is winning her mother back.






When Devon goes to Crimson Lights, Sharon brings him coffee. He approaches Elena and inquires whether she and Nate are moving. She informs him of her plan. He questions her about Nate and Elena confesses Nate's affair with Victoria. Devon wasn't expecting it and claims that Elena does not deserve it. Elena hoped he'd change, but he betrayed her faith. Elena believes Victoria will devour him.








Sharon notices Nick is agitated when he arrives at Crismon Lights. He refuses to discuss it. Nick is looking forward to Faith's homecoming. He notices the champagne and makes a joke about her turning the room into a bar. Sharon notes that it was sent by an unknown person. Nick observes paint on the label that resembles blood. Sharon is perplexed as to who sent it and why there was no signature. She claims she does not have any postage or shipping information. Sharon finds it weird and throws the champagne away.



The Young and the Restless recap for May 23, 2023:






Audra arrives on the terrace at Crimson Lights, where she and Elena debate Nate's actions. Audra wonders if Elena is thinking of taking revenge. She considered it but Audra advises her to relax and enjoy the final laugh. Elena wants to speak with Victoria and Audra advises her to go to her office and confront her. Nate discovers Devon at Chancellor Park. He expresses gratitude to his cousin for inviting him to Neil's memorial service. Devon swiftly switches the conversation to Elena and what Nate did to her. One believes they are superior to the other, and Devon believes the true Nate has been revealed. Nate informs Devon that everything revolves around him and that he has never appreciated him. Devon reminds him of his business transgressions in the hopes that they will keep him warm at night.














Nate returns to work and inquires about Nick. Victoria informs him that her brother believes Nate is vying for her job. Nate appears astonished but then admits he's not entirely incorrect. He dreams of one day rising to the top of the company. Elena appears and pretends to be startled that they're both dressed. She wishes to speak, so Victoria allows her to do so. Elena claims that everyone is noticing that they are sleeping together. She is abandoning the podcast and is concentrating on medicine.








Jack gets home and sees Tucker. He inquires as to where Ashley is. Tucker doesn't know and wouldn't tell Jack if he did, not in the man's current state. Tucker cautions Jack not to cross him and to remember who he is.
