The Young and the Restless recap for May 31, 2023:

In today's episode recap of The Young and the Restless, Chance gives Sharon distributing news about Cameron, Adam proves himself to Sally, and Kyle gets caught in Summer’s web of deceit.

Summer and Daniel inform Kyle at Crimson Lights that Chance has proof their mother is alive. Summer is sorry for blaming Diane. She hugs him once he reveals his mother's release. Summer makes excuses for her mother and claims she is a victim in all of this. Kyle informs Daniel that they will always be grateful to him for stepping up. Daniel couldn't live with himself in any other way. Summer believes her mother should suffer no consequences. 

Lily and Lucy gather at Society. Lucy inquires if she was married to her father when they were children. This surprises Lily, who claims it happened a long time ago. Lucy seeks more information. They were too young and it barely lasted a year. Lucy believes this is all very romantic, and it offers her a lot of leverage over her father. Daniel comes along and wonders what he's been missing. Daniel suggests that Lucy eats pie at the bar so he and Lily can talk.

Daniel informs Lily that the charges against Diane have been dismissed. It's as though a weight has been lifted. He doubts his mother will come out, and he believes his sister knows where she is. Lily informs him that he started something meaningful and did the right thing. She informs him that Lucy is aware of their previous marriage. She appears ecstatic about it and believes they are fated to be together again. 

When Kyle and Summer arrive at the Abbott estate, they see that everyone else has left. She is pleased with how things are going for him. He expresses his relief and promises her that they will bring Phyllis home. She abruptly states that she needs to go on an errand and will be back soon. He snatches her tablet and follows her to the GCAC, wondering why she's there when she said she was going to work. She pretends she's only getting a spa gift card and then begs him to forget about work, proposing they go out to celebrate.

Y&R recap for May 31, 2023:

Sally needs to take a seat in the park. Cameron happens to pass by and discovers she's doubled over. He offers to make contact for assistance. She calls Adam and informs him that she has to see her OB. Cameron takes off as Adam arrives. Sally informs Adam that she experienced double vision but that it had passed. He still believes she should be examined. She wonders where that man that was there went to.

Adam and Sally arrive at her suite. She is at risk for preeclampsia and is on new medications. Sally sobs, worried that she's done something wrong, but he assures her that she's done everything correctly. She is concerned that she must work. He advises her to let Chloe take the lead for the time being. Adam is there for Sally in a real way. Sally had no clue he was that composed and rational. He's pleased she phoned him rather than Nick. He assumes she phoned his brother first and declares that he is cool with it. She begs him to stay.

The Young and the Restless recap for May 31, 2023:

Sharon's kids hang out and talk as she glances at Cameron's box. They observe she is unfocused, and Mariah suspects she is suffering from maternal overload. Sharon invites the children to accompany her and Nick while they clean up. Nick jumps up and peeks in the box as soon as the young folks leave. It also has a matchbook from the hotel where Cameron assaulted her. This makes Nick upset and Sharon is convinced that Cameron is conveying a message.

Chance arrives, and he brings bad news. Kirsten has been freed, he says. In Los Angeles, he was detained for abusing his girlfriend. He was freed once more, and no one knows where he is now. Chance begs Sharon to fill him in on the Kirsten story. She says that her marriage with Nick was in peril as she sits down. Cameron took advantage of her drinking to drown her problems and assaulted her and she went into hiding.

He tracked her down to Genoa City and coerced her into meeting up with him one night. She pleaded with him to leave her alone. She slammed a champagne bottle on his head as he tried to rape her. She believed she had murdered him, so she concealed his body. Sharon admits that Cameron used to torment her and would not let her forget what she had done. He appeared one day and pretended as if nothing had occurred. But he intended to make her suffer, so he falsely accused her of murder before kidnapping her. 

Nick rescued her by knocking Cameron down. He was arrested and convicted. Sharon will not allow him to torment her again. Nick doesn't want this person around Sharon, and she orders Chance to find out where he is. Once Chance leaves, Nick believes Cameron is incapable of reasonable reasoning and is concerned about his return to the city. Faith walks into the park and collides with Cameron.
