Y&R Recap May 25, 2023: Phyllis Makes A Bold Move

The Young and the Restless recap for May 25, 2023:

In today's episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis makes a bold move, Lily catches Daniel off guard, and Devon takes the high road.

Daniel has a drink while at the Athletic Club and remembers Summer telling him how he's wrecked everything for their mother. Lily comes along and kisses him. Lucy also enters, and Lily suggests they do dinner but Daniel declines, stating that they already made plans with Johnny, Connor, Chelsea, and Billy. Lucy is perplexed, but Daniel assures her that they will do it another time. 

While talking with Devon, Abby is concerned that her mother is considering marrying Tucker. She recalls Jack telling her during her visit to the mansion that her mother and Tucker were out celebrating. Tucker, Abby hopes, has changed. Devon has the same thought. Devon attempts to talk Abby out of being furious by saying she'll crush Tucker if he abuses her mother again. He offers to get closer to Tucker to see whether he's really changed.

The Young and the Restless recap for May 25, 2023:

Tucker apologizes to Ashley in Chancellor Park for putting her on the spot. He's curious whether what she stated at the mansion is real. He is aware that it is an act, yet he still has questions about it. He believes they are still in the friend zone since she cannot tell him what he wants to hear. However, Ashley suggests that it is more than that. He realizes that a part of her wishes for their wedding to be true. She entices him into a kiss.

Chance and Christine discuss the likelihood that Phyllis is still alive while they meet at Society. He wonders if she'll be able to persuade him not to investigate. She mentions the hair Jack discovered and wonders whether it originated from the motel. She can't tell Chance to leave the case alone since she knows he's tenacious, but she trusts his intuition. This may irritate the incoming chief of police but Chance promises to keep her informed.

 

Summer converses with Sharon at Crimson Lights. Sharon consoles Summer and goes to bring her two coffees. Sharon keeps an eye on Summer as she searches for a fresh text from Phyllis. When Summer receives a text from Phyllis with the room number and a note indicating the key is in her back pocket, she runs out the door. As she rushes out, she collides with Chance. When she asks whether there is any fresh information, he informs her that the investigation is complete.  

Chance places his order with Sharon, who asks whether she owes him a thank you for the champagne. He wishes he could take credit and promises to buy her five bottles once things at work have settled down. He feels receiving such a gift is odd and offers to look into it. She declines and grins. He leaves for work.

The Young and the Restless recap for May 25, 2023:

Lily and Daniel arrive at Society. The children opt to sit at an adjacent table so that the grownups may sit together. When the grownups try to order, Lily recalls Billy's old favorite meal. Meanwhile, the children gleefully place their orders. The grown-ups keep themselves occupied by discussing their personal development. Meanwhile, Connor and Johnny tell Lucy about their family relationships, the new baby, and how twisted everything is. Lucy discusses her upbringing.

After dinner, the adults discuss dessert as the youngsters continue to get acquainted. Lucy complains about her boarding school. They discuss being transferred to grandparents. Johnny and Lucy exchange phone numbers and make plans to meet up while she is still in Genoa City.

Phyllis enters her GCAC apartment in a bad disguise and says, "Okay, Supergirl. Your mom needs you." Summer enters the GCAC room and embraces her mother. Summer is curious about how she got the card inside her pocket. She said she did it while she browsing for shoes in Fenmore's. Summer reveals that Daniel told everything. Phyllis is aware. She inquires how he is, and Summer admits that he informed Jack, Michael, Kyle, Christine, Chance, and Lucy. Phyllis isn't upset. She is relieved to have some time to think things through. She's not going to hold it against Daniel, but that's the reason she didn't tell him. Summer refuses to let her see him fearing that he will turn her into the cops.

Chance investigates the motel where Phyllis slept. He goes garbage digging and discovers Phyllis' memorial invitation in a little trash bag. He phones Maggie at forensics and asks whether they can extract prints off the paper that has been laying around for a few weeks, as well as DNA from a tearstain, even if it contains mascara. He agrees to meet with her as soon as possible.
