Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for June 2, 2023, 2023: Familiar Faces Come To Salem
Nicole decides to tell EJ the truth. Eric speaks with Marlena about Nicole's pregnancy. Gabi and Stefan try to schmooze Megan and Kristen. Harris informs Steve he’s in town to keep an eye on Megan.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap for June 2, 2023: Familiar Faces Come To Salem
Steve is talking on the phone with Hope when there's a knock on his door. He opens it and is surprised to see Harris. Harris asks if he can come in and then asks him for a truce. He tells Steve that he is back in Salem to keep an eye on Megan. Steve pushes back on that and tells Harris that he and John have it covered. Harris says that Salem is home and he wants to help keep Hope safe from Megan.
Kayla comes home and Steve updates her and is surprised when she tells him that he should let Harris stay because they need all the help they can get. She tells him that Abe's missing but that doesn't change Steve's mind about Harris. Kayla leaves to go back to the hospital and Steve declines Harris's offer again. Before Harris leaves he tells Steve to let him know if he changes his mind.
EJ is happy to see Nicole when he gets back from his business trip. He tells her that he was looking for her and asks where she was. Nicole tells him that she was at the hospital for a blood test. EJ assumes that it was in relation to her menopause diagnosis but Nicole tells him that she lied and that she is pregnant. Initially, he is happy but then realizes that Nicole lied because it could be Eric's baby.
Nicole tells him that she wanted to keep it a secret until she found out so she wouldn't get anyone's hopes up but EJ accuses her of wanting to keep her options open. She assures him that's not true and tells him she wants to be with him. EJ softens and tells her that he wants to have a baby with her and he hopes the one she is carrying is his. He also reassures her about her medical issues. When Nicole gets the call from Kayla that the test results are in she asks EJ to go with her to the hospital.
Eric and Marlena chat about Nicole's pregnancy at the Pub. He admits that he is hoping the baby is his and Marlena tells him that it's ok to feel that way. She asks if he still has feelings for Nicole and he tells her that he's committed to Sloan and that he loves her. He's worried about what will happen with their relationship if Nicole's baby is his.
EJ and Nicole wait at the hospital and he's not happy that she texted Eric to join them. She tells him that she promised Eric that she would let him know when the results came back as Eric steps off the elevator. EJ taunts him that it is more likely the baby is his since Eric and Nicole only had sex once and he and Nicole live together. Eric shoots back that they have only had sex once recently.
Nicole gets upset and yells at them both to stop. She tells Eric and EJ that she needs them to stop fighting and find a way to get along because no matter who the father is she will need both of their support to get through this pregnancy. She tells them how scared she is and how sad she is that what she has wished for so long could end horribly. She asks them to put aside their hatred for her sake.
Gabi and Stefan come home with a proposal for Megan and Kristen. They want their support to oust EJ from DiMera and want it to be a group effort. Megan asks what is in it for them and Gabi gives them both a handout she has prepared. Stefan assures them both that they will have important roles in the company but Megan is skeptical. They both promise to think about it and Gabi and Stefa go upstairs. Megan throws her papers into the fireplace and tells Kristen she isn't interested. Kristen agrees with her and they talk about Megan's plans to follow in their father's footsteps.
Stefan rubs Gabi's feet as they talk about Megan and Kristen. Stefan isn't worried about either of them getting the upper hand at the company but Gabi thinks Megan could be a problem. They talk about their plans and make love before happily setting a wedding date for July 31st.
Kristen asks Megan to help her get sole and permanent custody of Rachel. She reminds her sister that she herself did everything she could to stay close to her own child and Megan tells her that she's worried about Dimitri since he hasn't arrived yet. Megan is afraid that the Alamains have captured him but is thrilled when Dimitri walks into the parlor and tells her she doesn't have anything to worry about.
