Spoilers for General Hospital on June 12, 2023: Sonny and Nina are interrupted; Finn questions Tracy's story; Austin cautions Ava; TJ assesses a patient; and Chase is caught off-guard.
General Hospital Episode Recap June 12, 2023: Chase Has His Eye On Nina
Tracy insists that Chase arrest Drew for attempted murder while Drew maintains that it was an accident and that he didn't do anything to hurt Ned. Olivia tells them to stop fighting and leaves to ride in the ambulance with Ned with Tracy and Brook Lynn right behind her. Drew tells Chase what happened and asks if he's really going to arrest him.
Drew is thinking about what happened when Zeke comes down and asks him what is going on. Drew tells him and then Chase asks Drew to come to the station and answer questions. Zeke objects but Drew says he wants to. They talk privately and Drew tells him that he wants to get it cleared up as quickly as possible so nothing jeopardizes any deal he may be able to get with the SEC.
At the PCPD Drew goes over everything again with Chase. Chase gets called out of the room by another officer to view the footage from the MetroCourt security cameras. In the interrogation room, Zeke asks Drew how he's doing. Drew says he's worried about Ned and Zeke agrees with him on that because Ned is his best chance of getting out of the mess with the SEC. Drew says that he can't worry about that right now but Zeke is. Drew is convinced he will be exonerated quickly but Zeke has his doubts. He asks Drew if Tracy might recant and Drew is sure that she will not. Drew tells Zeke that Tracy is determined to neutralize him no matter the cost.
At the MetroCourt, Austin tries to convince Ava to go along with what Mason wants her to do. She tells him that it's impossible because she doesn't have that kind of access to Sonny but Austin insists that she has no choice and has to find a way. He makes it clear to her that they will both be killed if she doesn't do it. Ava is adamant that she can't do it and wants to know who the big boss is.
Austin won't tell her who it is but tells her that they are not going to be able to turn them down. They have no choice but to comply. He tells Ava that they plan to kill Sonny and that would help her because she would have Avery all to herself. Ava refuses to go along with it and Austin brings up helping her with Nik's body. She accuses him of wanting a quid quo pro and he admits that is part of it but tells her that he's interested in her beyond that as well.
In Sonny's office, he can tell that something is off with Nina but she insists that it's just lingering guilt over what happened in Nixon Falls. She asks if they can go home but he has to wait for a call from Brick. When Brick calls he tells Sonny that he hasn't been able to get the information he's looking for yet but is still trying. Sonny and Nina are about to go home when Brook Lynn calls him and tells him about Ned so they head to GH instead.
At Carly's, Joss tells Dex that she doesn't like that he is going to continue working for Sonny but she accepts it. Michael comes in with Carly and asks for a truce. Joss tells him that she's still mad but agrees to make peace. Michael tells Dex he has another job offer for him. He tells him that he wants him to keep working for Sonny and reporting back to him but this time they are doing it to protect Sonny.
Joss is angry and doesn't understand but Carly tells her that it was her idea and it's important. Michael says that they need to do it to keep the entire family safe. They explain everything to Joss and Dex and Joss objects to it but Dex asks to speak to her alone. Michael and Carly go into the other room and Dex tells her that he is going to take the job since he will be working for Sonny anyway. Joss doesn't like it and they argue but eventually, she accepts it. Michael and Carly watch them from the doorway and Carly tells Michael she thinks Dex will agree because of the way he is looking at Joss.
Liz is at the Nurse's station when a call comes in for the head nurse. She takes the call but the caller is looking for Epiphany. Liz has to tell them that Epiphany has passed and when she hangs up sadly, Finn comes over and tells her that he misses her too. They go for a walk and talk about what she meant to each of them and what the hospital means to them. Liz jokes about Finn sounding unusually optimistic and promises that she won't tell anyone.
Brook Lynn and Tracy rush into the hospital and see Olivia. She tells them about the ambulance ride with Ned and that they are working on him now. Tracy sees Finn and tells him that Ned was hurt and asks him about TJ. Finn tells him that TJ is a very talented intern. Tracy wants Finn to examine Ned himself and won't take no for an answer so Finn complies.
Finn comes out and tells them that Ned is stable but still unconscious. He tells them that they are going to do more tests and consult with the specialist. Sonny and Nina come in and Sonny comforts Olivia. Sonny asks what happened and Tracy repeats her lies about Drew attacking Ned. Sonny doesn't believe it and thinks it makes no sense. Before they can get into it more TJ comes out with an update.
TJ tells them that Ned suffered a TBI and his brain was deprived of oxygen for a time. Brook Lynn worries that her father may die but TJ tells her that it's too soon to think about that. Olivia asks if she can see him and TJ says they can go in one at a time. They all agree Olivia should go first. Olivia goes into Ned's room and asks the nurse if she can touch him. The nurse tells her that she can hold his hand. Olivia sits by his bed and takes his hand, pleading with him to wake up.
Chase comes to the hospital and hugs Brook Lynn before asking Tracy if she wants to revise her statement. She tells him that she doesn't and then he informs her that the security cameras caught the entire incident. Tracy is flustered but admits it was an accident. She leaves quickly to go see Ned and Brook Lynn thanks Chase for giving her grandmother some slack. Chase gets a text and then looks at Nina suspiciously.
At the PCPD, an officer comes into the room and tells Drew that he is free to go because the witness changed her statement. The officer thanks him on Chase's behalf. At GH, Olivia comes out and allows Brook Lynn to go in to sit with Ned. Nina and Sonny comfort Olivia. Chase gets another message and eyes Nina with even more suspicion.
