Spoilers for General Hospital on June 21, 2023: Jordan takes the high road. Curtis has some explaining to do. Sasha is taken by surprise. Cody summons Gladys. Sam is interrupted.
General Hospital Episode Recap June 21, 2023: Sam, Spinelli, and Cody Team Up
TJ and Molly meet with Dr. Navarro to go over Molly's test results. The doctor breaks the bad news that more than likely they will not be able to harvest viable eggs from Molly for freezing and later use with a surrogate. She wants to run more tests and leaves to give them time to process what she has told them.
Molly is heartbroken at the thought of not being able to have a biological child with TJ but he tries to assure her that it's not definite and even if it turns out to be impossible they can have a child another way. TJ is stunned when Molly tells him that she wants to take a break from it all and step back from planning a family for a while. He reluctantly agrees but isn't happy about it.
Curtis is doing paperwork at the Savoy and thinking about his fight with Portia when Trina arrives. She wants to know what is going on with him and Portia but he doesn't want to tell her. She pushes him and he suggests she talk to Portia about it. Trina gets angry and tells him that Zeke was right, she shouldn't have come to Curtis. He is shocked that Zeke knows but assumes Portia told him. He finally tells Trina the truth about the kiss between him and Jordan but tells her that he wants a future with Portia. Trina is disappointed and points out that the only parent in her life who has kept their wedding vows is Taggert.
Portia goes to Jordan's office to confront her about the kiss. Jordan tells her that it didn't mean anything but Portia doesn't believe her. She accuses Jordan of wanting Curtis all along. Jordan admits that her feelings never went away but assures Portia that she has moved on and has no interest in a relationship with Curtis anymore. Portia blasts her for sleeping with her brother.
Jordan tries to explain but Portia is too upset to listen to her. She asks Jordan who walked away between her and Curtis. Jordan reminds her that Curtis would never have kissed her if Portia hadn't lied to him and asks her who she is really mad at, them or herself? Portia storms out angrily without answering her question.
Lucy, Maxie, Sasha, and Gladys are meeting at the MetroCourt about Deception. They talk about what happened with Ned and how Leo has been spending a lot of time at the stables. Gladys insults Cody and Sasha lashes out at her. Lucy mentions a new product but when Gladys asks about it she tells her that it's top secret. Gladys storms off the get a drink by the pool and Sasha apologizes for her.
They all talk about the animosity between Gladys and Cody and Sasha shares that she is trying to have the guardianship terminated. Sasha is touched when Lucy offers to write her a letter of support. Sasha goes to get them drinks and Lucy questions Maxie about Cody and Sasha. When Sasha gets back she overhears Maxie telling Lucy that she thinks Cody feels more than friendship for her.
Sam and Cody meet with Spinelli in the park and ask him to help them take down Gladys. Spinelli is not eager to do anything to help Cody but they convince him because it will be helping Sasha as well. Cody calls Gladys and tells her they need to meet and if she doesn't then he will show Sasha the evidence he has on her. Gladys tells him to meet her at the MetroCourt pool and he agrees.
Sam goes to the pool and sits on the side, pretending to read a magazine as she sets up a listening device. Spinelli and Cody approach Gladys and tells her that they have evidence that proves Cody's innocence and her guilt. Spinelli tells her that the fitness app she has on her phone pinpoints her exact location with time stamps and they can use it to prove that she was in the room when the bracelet was put into Cody's jacket pocket. Sam is trying to listen but has to stop when Kristina comes over to sit with her and talk. Sam tries to get her to go get them drinks and food downstairs but Kristina wants to know if she is just trying to get rid of her. Sam tells her that she is and tells her to leave.
