Spoilers for General Hospital on June 22, 2023: Tracy unleashes her fury. Drew is blindsided. Selina mediates a conflict. Michael is grateful. Alexis makes a suggestion.
General Hospital Episode Recap June 22, 2023: Drew Gets A Shock In The Courtroom!
Gregory goes to Finn's office and they talk about the vacation to Disney World. Finn tells his Dad that he got the time off but Chase couldn't. Gregory tells Finn that he can't go as soon as they had planned and tells him about his new job at The Invader. Finn is happy to hear that his father has gone back to work and says they can delay the trip a year.
Gregory tells him that he can't wait that long and then covers when Finn asks why. Gregory tells him that he is worried Violet will grow out of wanting to go so they will plan it for as soon as he can take time off. They talk about Tracy and the confrontation Gregory had with her. He thinks he should propose but Finn doesn't think it will work with Tracy. He tells his father that he likes Tracy but she is hard to get close to or be friendly with.
Tracy and Alexis discuss Ned's condition and Tracy wonders if the stress Ned was under has anything to do with it. She is concerned about the effect that it's having on Leo most of all. Tracy thinks they need to take drastic, and possibly unethical, actions to spur Ned to remember who he is. Alexis suggests that they should go along with Ned's belief that he is Eddie Maine and let his brain heal. Tracy thinks that is ridiculous and the women are bickering about it when Gregory sees them in the hall.
Sasha confronts Lucy and Maxie over what she overheard and insists that Cody does not have feelings for her. They don't agree but both back down. They wonder if she is ready to move on and both assure her that she is not in any rush to do it and can take all the time she needs. When she is alone at the table she looks at a picture of Brando on her phone and talks about how much she misses him.
Dr. Montague is at the MetroCourt and sees her. Sasha worries that it could affect the guardianship termination but he assures her that it is a perfectly normal way to grieve. When Lucy and Maxie come back Sasha tells them that she has to end her friendship with Cody because it is hurting her relationship with Gladys and she doesn't want that to happen.
Cody tells Gladys that if she doesn't recant her statement they are going to turn their evidence into the PCPD. Gladys calls their bluff and then tells them she knows they are lying because she didn't have her phone with her at the Nurse's Ball. A waiter clears the table Sam was sitting at and when he moves the magazine the microphone falls out of it. Selina Wu steps on it and asks them if they were recording.
Spinelli and Cody deny all knowledge of the microphone and Wu tells Cody and Gladys that she is going to solve the fight between them. She throws the microphone into the pool before having the pool area closed so they can talk. Once they are alone Selina lays into Cody and Gladys for fighting and tells them it has to stop. She tells Gladys she has to get the charges against Cody dropped and tells her how to do it without admitting she lied.
Selina talks privately to Cody and tells him that no one can know they are working together and he has to leave Gladys alone. When she is alone with Gladys, she takes her payment on her debt and reminds her that the interest is building. After Selina walks away, Dr. Montague approaches Gladys and offers to help her with her gambling debt in exchange for a favor.
After Sam gets Kristina away from the pool, Kristina wants details about the case she is working on but Sam refuses to give them to her. They talk about what is happening with Molly and agree to support her as much as they can and let her take the lead on everything. Spinelli approaches them dripping wet and gives Sam the ruined microphone that he got out of the pool. Sam sends Kristina to get food and Spinelli tells her what happened with Wu. He and Sam try to figure out the connection between Selina, Cody, and Gladys.
Carly meets Drew in the courtroom and tries to get him to change his mind one more time. He refuses and they hug. Michael arrives and updates them about Willow and the kids and then he asks for the details of the plea deal. Drew tells him that he has agreed to do 6 months in a minimum security prison and Carly will have to pay a fine but won't go to jail. Michael thanks him and they promise to hold down the fort while he is locked up.
Zeke arrives and Drew introduces all of them. He tells them that the SEC accepted the deal and all they need is the judge to sign off on it. When the judge arrives they all sit down. Drew pleads guilty and the prosecutor from the SEC tells the judge they have agreed to a deal. The judge tells them the deal is too lenient and that he thinks Drew should do the maximum sentence of 20 years. Zeke argues against it and passionately defends Drew but the judge only agrees to lower the sentence to 3 years!
