The Young and the Restless recap for June 29, 2023:

Today on The Young and the Restless, Nick loses patience with Phyllis, Michael and Lauren clear the air, and Billy questions Jack’s decision-making.

Y&R Recap Today

Diane and Jack enjoy their almost perfect evening out. She has so much to be thankful for and feels like they both can conquer the world. They raise a glass to her fortitude. He admires how she never gets derailed. She is concerned that Kyle came to the club to sleep in order to avoid his wife. They can only hope that everything works out for them. 

Michael kisses Lauren. He tells her that he had an unexpected visitor - Phyllis Summers. She is stunned. She would've given anything to see her. She wants to know whether he's worked out how to bring Phyllis back without destroying her life. There are no promises, he says but he can try.  They are hoping she will make the right decision. She will be held accountable for some of her misdeeds, and her life will never be the same again. Lauren mulls over what it would take for Phyllis to turn over a fresh leaf. Lauren believes that all they need to do is find the appropriate incentive. He admires her optimism, yet she relies on his problem-solving ability. She is certain he will assist Phyllis. But he wants Phyllis to meet him halfway. She advises them to put all of that aside for the time being and focus on their romantic evening. They recline and toast in bed.

Summer roams the Abbott estate, looking for Kyle. She sags in her chair. Her mother texts her to say she met with Michael. Summer complains. When Nick arrives, she wonders how he is after everything that has transpired. She's relieved Cameron is no longer alive. Nick emphasizes that Sharon and Faith are doing their best and that they are all making it through. He adds that he's taking some time off from work, but it wasn't his decision. Sally also miscarried the baby. He admits that Sally isn't doing well. She doesn't want to throw more on him and proposes they meet next week. He forces her to speak, and she informs him about Kyle's desire to separate. He apologizes and hugs her while she pouts. She updates him on everything going on with Phyllis. They are still seeking for a method to keep her from being charged with murder. He's glad Phyllis is still alive, but he doesn't understand why she's holding her daughter accountable for solving her issues. Summer understands why her mother did what she did.

Nick draws attention to what she did to Kyle's mother. She was aware that what she was doing was wrong, yet it caused a schism with Kyle. Summer prioritizes her mother over her marriage, thinking that she had no option. She inquires as to how she may correct the situation. Nick believes that Kyle will soon realize that her mother put her in a bad situation. She wants to believe it, but it took them a long time to create trust, and she shattered it. Her father believes they can bridge the chasm if they both want to, but she believes it is the end. Nick wishes she had come to him sooner. He agrees that she should hold her mother accountable for this disaster. The saddest aspect, according to Summer, is that they don't even have the means to bring her mother home. She is afraid that there is no way to set things right. He advises her to be patient. He's confident her husband will change his mind since he knows how manipulative her mother is. He offers to speak with Kyle.

Kyle and Audra are in her bed. She claims that they needed something enjoyable, but it doesn't have to be anything more. He doesn't want to sneak away, so he jumps on top of her, and they go around again. When he recommends ordering room service, she claims she has work to do. He understands. They get dressed after a shower, and he tells her he had a nice time. They kiss, and he walks away. She smiles to herself and then begins searching him up on the internet.

Y&R Recap Today

Nate texts her that their lives will change tomorrow. Kyle runs into his folks in the foyer as he heads downstairs. They're curious as to what he's doing there. He claims he was merely trying to get away from the stress in the house. He realized while taking a shower that he shouldn't remain away and that he wants to be beside Harrison when he wakes up. His parents are relieved that he has recognized this and he dashes out the door. 

Nick is just leaving when Jack and Diane arrive home. They inform Summer that Kyle is returning. Kyle appears as they make their way upstairs. His wife greets him. He looks around before trudging upstairs.
