Spoilers for General Hospital on July 14, 2023: Kristina gets the cold shoulder. Dante develops a theory. Gladys tries to run interference. Trina is overcome with emotion. Mac makes an admission to Sam.
General Hospital Episode Recap July 14, 2023: Anna Offers Herself As Bait
At Kelly's, Alexis tells Sonny that Kristina is about to do something that she shouldn't and that she can't tell him what it is but she wants him to talk to her and tell her that she shouldn't do it. Sonny asks if she wants him to be the bad parent and she says yes because she always is and she thinks he will agree with her on this. Alexis tells him that Kristina is more likely to listen to him with an open mind and he says that is because he doesn't judge her. He gets a call and tells her that he has to go but will talk to Kristina later.
TJ and the surgeon tell Curtis's loved ones that he made it through surgery but they don't know the extent of the damage the bullet did yet. They tell them that he is being moved to a room and that they can see him one at a time. Nina is happy to hear the news but gets a call about Sasha and has to go. Kristina approaches TJ and Molly, congratulating them on the good news and TJ snaps at her because Curtis is still in danger. She tries to explain but TJ storms off and Molly follows him.
Later Kristina approaches Molly to find out what happened and Molly lashes out at her about what she overheard at the Savoy. Kristina is confused because she thought that being their surrogate would help them but Molly accuses her of being selfish and wanting to make it all about her. As they argue TJ comes up to them and says he could hear them down the hall and asks what is going on. Kristina tells him that Molly was just telling her all the reasons she would be a horrible surrogate. Alexis steps off the elevator and tries to talk to Kristina as she storms off but Kristina blows her off. Alexis asks Molly what happened.
Everyone agrees that Trina can go see Curtis first. She goes into his room and calls him Dad but gets scared and leaves very upset. They are all concerned but she tells them that she just got scared seeing him so still. Stella and Marshall comfort her as Portia goes in to see Curtis. She sits by his bed and talks to him, apologizing for how they left things and telling him that everyone else is ok. She also asks him to wake up and tells him that she loves him. Trina goes to splash water on her face and take a moment alone and Stella has a moment of feeling weak but Marshall helps to steady her. She assures everyone that she is fine.
At the docks, Sam and Mac argue about him scaring her. He asks why she is tailing Cody but she confesses that it is actually Selina who she was tailing. They discuss Cody and their fears for him and Mac tells her that he knows about Selina's poker game and that the PCPD has it under surveillance. Sam is worried that Cody is in too deep for them to help him.
Gladys and Sasha get home and Sasha goes to rest while Gladys calls Logans and orders everything she was looking at earlier and asks them to deliver it. Cody knocks on the door and she closes it in his face but eventually lets him in and they argue. Sasha comes out and tells him what happened. He apologizes for not being able to answer her call and promises he will be there if she needs him for anything.
Nina arrives and Sasha fills her in. Nina is concerned and talks to Gladys alone in the hall. Gladys tells her that there is obviously something wrong and she thinks she has to tell the court what happened. Nina is very against that and tells Gladys it wasn't a big deal and she shouldn't say anything. Gladys says that something is going on and she is worried. When she goes back in, Cody says he has to leave and tells Sasha to remember what he said. After he is gone, Gladys tells Sasha that she can't trust him or depend on him.
Anna is at home and hears a noise. She grabs her gun and goes outside to find Dante cuffing someone. It is one of Sonny's guards who he has sent to stay out of sight and watch Anna. Dante lets him go and he and Anna talk inside. Dante tells her that he traced the gun to a stash that the WSB was storing after a raid. Anna wonders if a former agent is trying to kill her and Dante wonders if a current one might be, or even the WSB as a whole. Sonny arrives and they fill him in. Dante tells him that he still hasn't ruled him out as the target either and warns him to be careful. Anna tells them that she has a plan to lure the shooter out, by offering herself up as bait.
