The Young and the Restless Recap for Tuesday, July 11, 2023

Today on The Young and the Restless, Sharon seeks counsel from Victor, Phyllis puts Summer in a tough position, and Jack summons the Abbotts to a family meeting.

Y&R Recap Today

Summer visits Chancellor Park and discovers her mother hiding behind a magazine. She wants to run away. Phyllis suspects it has to do with Kyle. Summer notes that she moved into the Athletic Club. She's not sure she'll be able to turn things around. Her mother advises her to give Kyle some space and eventually, he will come around. When she admits that she feels guilty, her daughter agrees that she is. Phyllis begins to apologize and claims she will work things out for her. Summer thinks this is something she must figure out on her own. Her mother tells that once Michael locates the EMT, she will think about coming out of hiding. She advises her daughter to focus solely on her marriage, adding that love always finds a way.

Traci and Billy are perplexed as to why they have been summoned to a meeting. Diane brings them pastries, and Jack gets things started. They believe Ashley has been excluded. Traci informs him that he did not gather the family when he appointed Diane. Her brother claims he is doing this to protect Jabot. Kyle walks in, perplexed as to why they are having a family meeting without him and Ashley. He takes this to mean something and lashes out over being excluded. Traci, like Diane, begs him to stay. Kyle stomps out as Jack refuses to budge. They immediately get down to business. They have no idea what Tucker and Ashley have in mind, and Jack reminds them of the last time something similar occurred. Traci is taken aback by Billy's calm and reasonable demeanor. Jack is convinced that their sister is a severe threat and wants her to be removed from the Jabot board right away. Traci tells Jack that his father wanted all of them to have a seat on the board, and his siblings think this is unreasonable. When Billy asks Diane how she feels, she says Tucker and Ashley can only hurt them if they let them.

Adam runs into Crimson Lights on the phone. Sharon and Sally are concerned. Sally takes a step back, and Sharon begins talking to him about firing people. He claims he is merely preparing to take over Newman Media so that he may merge it into Adustus International. As Adam leaves, Sharon calls Sally in. Sally appreciates the note and flowers she sent, especially since she was dealing with Cameron.  Sharon understands how difficult it is to grieve the loss of a child. She notes that when parents grieve together, it typically makes things better.  Sally claims Adam is back to the usual, meddling in other people's lives. She walks out. Victor arrives, and Sharon inquires as to the motivation behind his desire for his sons to collaborate. She inquires whether he is attempting to save the company or his children. 

Y&R Recap Today

When Nick arrives at Victoria's workplace. he dropped by to see how his old squad was doing and what she had done with them. They argue, and she insists she's not doing anything wrong. He reveals that their father is attempting to persuade him to join Adam's team. Her brother is furious that she replaced him with Nate. 

Nick visits Sally in her suite. He apologizes for upsetting her by bringing up Adam. He considers his job possibilities and concludes that working alongside Adam may be the greatest option. Otherwise, Adam could revert to his old self, and none of them will be safe. Sally believes he loves his brother more than he has ever admitted to himself.

Y&R Recap Today

Kyle walks inside the GCAC and smiles as he sees Audra. He recalls her offer to work at Newman Media. He approaches her and inquires about her plans for a new partner. He admits to being intrigued by her employment offer. They have coffee, and she tells him how well they would get along. He believes that blending business and pleasure is risky. He cautions her that he will make her work in order to get him on board. She recommends that they make it a rule that he can't gaze at her with bedroom eyes in public. Summer enters and watches them from the lobby as she asks him how she can make him hers. Summer interrupts and Audra takes off instantly. He acknowledges that she approached him about working at Newman Media. She reminds him of their difficult relationship history, which he refuses to confront. Summer agrees to let him find his place, but Audra is sketchy. He wishes her well and insists he's OK on his own. 

Ashley joins Tucker at Society and informs him that Jack and Diane appear to be up to something.

She supposes they shouldn't be surprised given they threw the bombshell about starting their own business on them. He pulls out a small blue box and places it on the table, telling her he has a wedding gift for her. When she opens it, she discovers a phone number on the inside. He explains that it's for a man who can fulfill her desire of bringing Phyllis back for good. He's getting closer to the EMT. She's not sure they should engage Phyllis but he believes she could be an additional level of attack. Ashley enjoys taking risks in business, but not in this way. He proposes directing Phyllis toward Jack rather than Diane. He wonders if she's scared about reprisal and believes Phyllis will find a way to reach Jack and throw Diane off guard. Ashley thinks about it and decides to get rid of Diane once and for all. He requests that Carson be brought in. 

In the park, Michael encounters Phyllis. She is concerned that her daughter's life is unraveling.

She needs to attempt to restore things, and she can't have her daughter worried about her going to jail while her marriage falls apart. The lawyer informs her that they are close to locating Carson the EMT and she only needs to hold on a little longer.

Adam is back at Crimson Lights. Sharon called him and informed him that she, too, had a new business to operate. They settle in a booth, and Cameron tells her that he left her his company. She has an offer for him. Cameron's business is a shambles and a challenge. She advises that they join their businesses and collaborate.
