Days of Our Lives will see a change in its director and co-executive producer, as Albert Alarr has been fired from his role according to Deadline. To fill the vacancy, series producer Janet Drucker has been promoted to the co-executive producer position. Additionally, the show will now have an HR presence on set. The announcement was made by series executive producer Ken Corday in an email to the cast and crew, which can be read in its entirety below.
“Effective immediately, Janet Drucker will be elevated to co-executive producer of Days of Our Lives, replacing Albert Alarr, who will be exiting his role. Moving forward, we will be implementing additional HR protocols, including an increased HR presence as well as channels for reporting any concerns. It is imperative that we have a safe and inclusive workplace environment.”
This news comes after reports of an investigation of misconduct on the soap opera set. Production for the series will resume on Monday for a week, and then there will be a pre-scheduled break during the week of August 14th. Read Alarr's statement here!
