Spoilers for General Hospital on August 17, 2023: Brook Lynn plies Tracy with alcohol. Dante is wise to Cody. Felicia ponders her next act. Finn and Liz have a heart-to-heart. Molly shares big news.
General Hospital Episode Recap August 17, 2023: Brook Lynn Gets Tracy Drunk
Kristina arrives at GH to see Terry. She runs into TJ and tells him that she wants to ask TJ to be on the board for her foundation. She talks about it very passionately as TJ walks her to the elevator and wishes her luck with Terry. Alexis and Jordan are at Molly and TJ's because she called them over. When Sam gets there Molly tells them that she has family news. Sam is confused about Kristina not being there until Molly tells them that she and TJ have found a surrogate.
Everyone is happy for Molly and TJ but Sam and Alexis are clearly concerned about the Kristina aspect of it. At the hospital, TJ accidentally slips to Kristina that Molly is having a family gathering without her. Jordan and Alexis go to get coffee together and Sam stays behind to talk to Molly. At the coffee bar, Alexis and Jordan agree that everything about the surrogacy is moving very fast. Molly tells Sam that she and TJ would like her to be the baby's godmother.
Sam is touched and accepts the honor. Molly tells her that TJ is going to ask Curtis to be the godfather. There is a knock on the door, it's Kristina. She wants to know why she wasn't invited to the party. Sam leaves them alone to talk and Kristina wants answers about how Molly could do this to her.
At the PCPD Dante and Mac confront Cody about lunging at Gladys and he goes off on them, kicking chairs and throwing papers. Mac tells him that if he doesn't calm down then he will spend the night in a holding cell. Dante promises Mac he will deal with it before Mac leaves. Dante tries to get Cody to talk to him but Cody just keeps acting crazier and crazier. Finally, Dante figures out that Cody is trying to get himself committed to Ferncliff to help Sasha. He tells Cody that it won't work but Cody stays committed to his plan. Unable to get him to talk, Dante opens the door and tells Cody that he's free to go.
Brook Lynn brings Tracy to the luau at the MetroCourt pool to get her out of the house because she is making everyone crazy. Tracy is not thrilled but loosens up when Brook Lynn plies her with alcohol. She has Tracy's drinks made stronger and hers made without alcohol. Tracy talks about missing Luke and as they are leaving tells Brook Lynn that she wants Deception "Lock, stock and barrel" and wants Brook Lynn to get it for her.
Mac and Felicia meet at the luau and have a nice evening. He picks up on her tone and thinks she is about to embark on another scheme but she promises that she isn't. She tells him that she wants to be more than just a grandmother and he worries that she wants to go back to being a PI. Felicia assures him that she does not want that but asks about helping the PCPD. Mac suggests she look for an opportunity to help at GH since they have so many connections there.
Liz goes to Finn's to pick him up for their date at the luau. They hang out with Violet until Gregory gets there to watch her. They go to the pool and have a nice evening, both admitting how happy they are to be together. At Finn's Gregory struggles while making bracelets with Violet and when she leaves the room, he takes a fall. Violet is scared when she sees him but he tries to pretend it's not a big deal. When Finn gets home Violet tells him what happened, and he asks his Dad about it. Gregory admits that there is something more going on.
