General Hospital Episode Recap August 30, 2023: 

Spoilers for General Hospital on August 30, 2023: Lucy is blindsided. Dante tries to visit Sasha. Cody puts on a show. Selina is foiled. Nina gets shocking intel.

Lucy expresses gratitude to Tracy for attending the court hearing. Tracy explains that her presence is necessary to protect her legal claim to the Deceptor. Lucy is taken aback when Tracy mentions protecting her claim and assumes it is related to her past relationship with Tracy's deceased brother. They argue briefly until the judge enters the room. Mr. Montgomery presents his case, stating that they will be seeking damages. Elise, however, objects as she has not reviewed the evidence and requests the case be dismissed. The judge asks both parties to approach the bench and requests to see the evidence. After reviewing the evidence, the judge decides that the trial will begin in six months. Lucy is unhappy with the decision and worries about the potential damage to the Deception.

Due to the judge's ruling, Lucy is forced to halt all sales of the Deceptor. Tracy approaches Lucy and they discuss the evidence. Tracy proposes a quick resolution but also requests 75% ownership of Deception to make the issue disappear. Lucy is angered by Tracy's suggestion. Tracy exits, followed by Brook Lynn who observes her speaking with Jackson. Meanwhile, inside, Elise inquires about how Tracy obtained the evidence. Lucy and Maxie recall Brook Lynn's actions and assume she is responsible.

Sam is surprised that she agreed to help Cody with his plan to assist Sasha. Although she admires his loyalty, she warns him that the plan could go wrong in many ways. They both exit the elevator and meet with the lawyer. Cody impresses the lawyer with his performance while Sam presents her case. When Sam leaves the room, the lawyer questions Cody about his suicidal tendencies and he continues to use acting skills.to put on a show. 

Gladys confesses to Nina that she lied. She says Sasha's doctor will not allow her to leave Ferncliff until she pays him. The truth is that the doctor was once a close friend of hers who betrayed her and her daughter. Nina suggests reporting it to the head doctors or the police, but Gladys objects. However, Nina doubts Gladys' story as Sasha has been doing well before all this began. She suspects that the doctor might be tampering with Sasha's medication. Nina feels it's time to take Sasha out of there and asks for the doctor's contact number. Initially hesitant, Gladys finally makes the call, but there is no answer. Nina proposes calling Sonny or going to see him to alert him about all of this, but Gladys stops her. Nina ultimately notes that Sonny is already dealing with so much and decides to give Gladys the money. She warns Gladys that if the doctor doesn't release Sasha or if she is harmed, Sonny will be all over this and Gladys. 

Sam runs into Dr. Toonder and notices a missed call from Gladys on his phone. She apologizes for the interruption and they strike up a conversation about Poker. Dr. Toonder even gives Sam his business card with his phone number. Soon after, a nurse informs Sam that the lawyer is ready to meet with her. Sam goes back to the room, where the lawyer explains the situation. Over at Ferncliff, Sam signs the paperwork to have Cody committed. Before leaving, Sam reminds Cody that his plan better not go sideways and promises to kill him if Sasha gets hurt.

Ms. Wu pays a visit to Sonny and informs him that the poker game happening at the back of the Savoy is on the verge of shutting down. She recommends that he talk to Marshall and convince him that the poker game benefits The Savoy. However, Sonny declines, stating that if they decide to shut down the poker game, that is the matter's end. He also warns Ms. Wu that he wouldn't be pleased if he hears that she is interfering with Marshall or Curtis.

Dante visits Sasha to ask her questions and later goes to see Sonny. Sonny reassures Dante that he is not interrupting anything as Ms. Wu is leaving. Before she goes, she wishes Sonny good luck in finding the person who shot Curtis. Dante then asks Sonny about his relationship with Sasha. Dante shares that his visit with Sasha was not good news. Sonny informs Dante that he spoke with Sasha before her commitment and everything seemed fine. He promises to make some calls to ensure that no one triggered her relapse. Dante also promises to investigate further on his end.


The nurse informs Dr. Montague of what Sasha said about him drugging her. He then goes to her room and threatens Sasha.
