Performer of the Week:

The Bold and the Beautiful's Tanner Novlan (Finn) and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) were absolute fire this week! They bring the love and romance so well that it's easy to forget how good they are at the angst and drama but this week they certainly reminded us! 

The week started with Finn having to explain to Steffy that he had turned his back on her young daughter Kelly (Sophia Paras) and that she would have drowned but for his birth mother and Steffy's worst enemy, Shelia (Kimberlin Brown), saving her. Steffy was appalled by his taking his eyes off of Kelly for even a moment at the beach but even more upset that he had in fact softened toward the woman who had almost killed them both. Liam (Scott Clifton) had told her that it was happening but she hadn't believed it until that moment.

Finn tried to make her understand but Steffy couldn't see past her anger and fear about Shelia being back in their lives and by the end of the week she declared that she was leaving and taking the children with her! Finn begged her to reconsider but Steffy had made up her mind and would not be swayed. Usually on a soap opera, there is a clear good guy and a clear bad guy when a relationship goes south but that wasn't the case here. 

Finn was in turmoil over his conflicted feelings for Shelia and not doing anything wrong, and Steffy was justifiably angry about it after everything Shelia had put them through. Whether or not Sinn can pull through this as a couple remains to be seen, but what we know for a fact is that this pairing is portrayed by two powerhouse actors who are bringing their A-game to this latest arc. We are here for it, and for the Emmy nominations sure to come from it and that is why we are naming Tanner Novlan and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood are Performers of the Week! Congrats to both of you!

Days of Our Lives

We had a double wedding; Dimitri and Gwen and Stefan and Gabi. Abe finally returned home to his family. Paulina did her best hoping that time at home would job Abe's memory. Chanel and Talia faced off. John and Steve returned to Salem and reunited with their lady loves. Sloan received a lackluster marriage proposal from Eric. Melinda confronted her about her secret, and she confessed. Leo drowned his sorrows and drunkenly confessed his affair to Tripp. Tripp woke up to a lonely Leo in his bed. Kristen got custody of Rachel after being summoned to court. Xander got on one knee and asked Chloe to marry him. 

General Hospital

Cody suspected Gladys for what happened to Sasha. Molly and TJ took their first step toward becoming parents. Curtis told Aunt Stella he couldn't go on. Trina confided in Dex. Nina and Willow spent some more time together. Cyrus went to hell and back. Lucy questioned Martin. Finn and Liz looked forward to their future. Chase questioned Austin and so did Ava. Carly realized that Sonny and Ava were up to something. Valentin returned and questioned Anna. Laura and Kevin went to Cassadine Island to find answers. 

The Bold and the Beautiful

Sheila saved Kelly's life on the beach. Finn was grateful and even called her mom. Sheila returned to Deacon's apartment and told him about her heroic act and how she looked forward to a future with her son. Wyatt questioned Liam about how Steffy reacted to the news of Finn hugging Sheila. Finn tells Stefyf about the incident on the beach, and Steffy learns from Kelly that Sheila saved. Steffy was stunned to hear Finn defend his mother and call her a hero after all she put them through. Steffy moved out and went to her grandad's place, where she told Liam about what had happened. Ridge suggested to Brooke that they get married again. Li took Steffy's side as she discovered what had happened between her son and Steffy. 

The Young and the Restless

Nikki put Nate on notice after questioning him about his true intentions for her daughter. Elena told Nate to leave her alone. Phyllis got the leverage she needed against Tucker and then confronted him. Ashley told Abby that she wanted peace. Tucker asked Devon to be his best man and he agreed. Lily enticed Daniel to draw her naked. Sharon interrupted a moment between Summer and Chance. Ashley and Tucker asked Billy to be their Trojan horse. Billy later told Jack and Diane about it. 

Honorary Mentions

Jeff Kober brought the house down with his performance as Cyrus went to hell and back on General Hospital this week. His co-star, Donnell Turner, delivered a heartbreaking performance as Curtis struggled with his new reality. Naomi Matsuda, with only minutes, delivered a superb performance as Li on The Bold and the Beautiful when she called out Finn on his actions.
